Chapter 14: Hell I'm Just A Kid Myself

Kellin's POV

I parked in Pandorah's driveway and walked up to the front door, knocking a few times.

"Kellin?" Pandorah's mom asked as she answered the door.

"Hi." I smiled.

"Aren't you supposed to be in school?"

"I kinda sorta got suspended so I came to take care of Lily."

"Come in. Suspended, on the first day?" She asked as she moved out of the way to let me in. I walked into the house and she closed the door.

"I got in a fight." I said, rubbing the back of my neck.

"A fight?" She asked.

"Yeah. Some boys started teasing Pandorah which pissed me off, and then they started cracking jokes about Lily and I lost it. I'm suspended for a week. So, I guess I'll be here for a week." I chuckled.

"Do your parents know?"

"I'm sure the school has called them. Is Lily still asleep?"

"Yup, but she should be waking up soon. Do you mind if I go to the store?"

"Not at all."

"Alright, you still know where everything is?"

"Yup. Bottles in the fridge, diapers in the shelf upstairs, I'm good."

"Okay, feel free to watch TV. Call me if you need help." She said as she walked out of the house. I sat down on the couch and went to grab the remote when I heard Lily start to cry. I groaned and stood up, walking up the stairs and into Pandorah's room where Lily's crib was.

"It's okay, daddy's here." I said, reaching into the crib and pulling her out. I held her close to me, trying to calm her down. I checked her diaper. "You don't need a change, what is it? You hungry?" I carried her downstairs and grabbed a bottle, warming it up and giving it to her. She stopped crying and drank from the bottle. She finished and I placed the bottle in the sink.

I played with her for a while before carrying her upstairs and laying in Pandorah's bed with her on my chest.

Pandorah's POV

I waited in front of the school for Kellin to pull up. Instead, I saw my mom's car pull up. I walked over and got in.

"I thought Kellin was picking me up?"

"He kind of fell asleep." She said.

"Oh, okay."

"How was your first day?"

"Good. A little upsetting that Kellin wasn't with me."

"Yeah, Kellin told me what happened. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. I can handle a little teasing mom."

"Only if you're sure, I mean we can home school you or switch you to a different school."

"No, I want to go to school and graduate like a normal kid."

"Okay, just tell me if you want to do something different." She said.

"So, how was Kellin?" I asked.

"I've said it a thousand times and I'll say it again. I absolutely adore Kellin. He was such a big help today. I was able to get some shopping done while he took care of Lily."

"Well, you have him for a week."

"I know, I'm so excited! Imagine how much I can get done in a week!" She exclaimed and I giggled. A few minutes later, we pulled into the driveway and I saw Kellin's car. We got out and walked into the house.

"He's in your room." She said. I nodded and went upstairs, going into my room to see Kellin passed out in my bed, Lily sleeping on his chest. I smiled and walked out, going downstairs and going to the kitchen table. Since both Kellin and Lily are asleep, I might as well get some homework done.

Since it was only the first day, it only took me about thirty minutes to finish and I put everything away.

"Pandorah, dinner's almost ready. Can you go wake up Kellin?"

"Yeah. I said, going to the stairs and walking up to my room. As soon as I got to the doorway, Lily took my job and woke Kellin up. She started crying, screaming right in his ear. He jumped and held Lily tight so he wouldn't drop her.

"What's wrong Lily?" Kellin cooed, sitting up and holding her close. His hair was going in all different directions since he had just woken up and he just looked so damn perfect. He checked her diaper and held her away from him.

"I think I found the problem." He chuckled, standing up. He looked over at the doorway and saw me, a smile spreading across his face. "Pandorah!" He exclaimed.

"Hey, did you have a fun day?"

"Yeah, being with Lily is so much better than being at school."

"Yeah, especially because you got to nap all day." He just chuckled and walked into Lily's room. He placed her on the changing table and started to take off her dirty diaper.

"So, how was school?" He asked.

"Fine."

"Did anyone give you anymore problems?"

"A little, but I can handle it."

"You sure?"

"Yes, I don't want you getting in anymore trouble for me or for Lily, got it?"

"Yes ma'am." He said.

"Anyway, I originally came up here to wake you up for dinner but Lily woke you up instead."

"Yeah, that was not a pleasant thing to wake up to right in my ear." He said, putting a clean diaper onto Lily.

"But it woke you up." I said as he redressed Lily and handed her to me.

"Yeah, I guess." He said as I tried to get her to sleep.

"Go downstairs and I'll meet you." I said and he nodded. I got Lily to sleep and put her in her crib, walking downstairs to see my family gathered around the table.

KELLIN'S POV

"I should be getting home, thank you so much for dinner." I said.

"Thank you so much for helping out today." Pandorah's mom said.

"No problem. I'll see you tomorrow?" I confirmed and she nodded. Pandorah walked me out to my car and gave me a kiss.

"I'll be here at regular time." I said and she nodded.

"Love you." She said.

"Love you too." I said, kissing her one more time before getting in my car and driving home. I got home and opened the door, both of my parents in the living room.

"Hi." I said, kicking off my shoes by the door and putting my keys in the basket.

"We got a call from your school today." My mom said.

"I can explain."

"You better start." My dad grumbled.

"Some asshole-"

"Language." My mom cut me off.

"Someone was making fun of Pandorah, calling her a slut and such. Then, he started calling Lily names and I lost it. We fought and I got suspended for a week. I was at Pandorah's house all day, helping her mom take care of Lily and I'll be there the rest of the week."

"Well, at least you're doing something productive." My mom sighed.

"We're still taking your laptop until you're back in school." My dad said. I nodded and went upstairs to grab my laptop.
