Prompt: "What are you doing in my kitchen? What is on fire? You don't even live here."

From: KatLoss13

I quickly moved to my apartment. My car locking behind me as I walk.

The air is cold, yet I feel nothing thanks to my jacket. My breath is heavy, billowing in white clouds in front of my face.

I enter the door and quickly flashed my keycard. I walked in and set my jacket on the sofa. I was in bliss from the heated room until I heard a ruckus in the kitchen.

"DAMNIT ALL! WHERES THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER??" I heard what could only be my boyfriend, Gabe, in the kitchen attempting to cook. Again.

It's not that he can't cook, it's just that he can't pay attention. So things usually burn.

I quickly run into my kitchen and see utter chaos.

"What are you doing in my kitchen? What is on fire? You don't even live here!" I exclaimed as I grabbed the fire extinguisher from the cabinet.

"I was just trying to make something nice! You were stressing a lot lately trying to find a job and all, so I thought I would make dinner. Then I heard you come in and I forgot about the potatoes I'm boiling-"

Yeah, he has a tendency to ramble.

"That still doesn't explain what is on fire." I pointed out as I doused the flames in fire extinguisher-stuff.

The white cloud settled and the flame dispersed. Leaving a blackened pot full of water and cut up potatoes as the only surviving thing.

"Look man, I love ya and everything, BUT HOW THE HELL DO YOU MANAGE TO SET WATER ON FIRE!?" I shouted.

I relived I might have been too loud with him as he started to tear up.

"I-I'm sorry-y-y I j-j-just want-t-ted to do something special." He said with tears.

I quickly brought him over to the couch and sat down with him. I held his head on my shoulder as I apologized and comforted him. One thing I loved about him is that he's a big 'ole softy.

About five minutes passed and he stopped crying. My favorite shirt now a wet mess, but I didn't care. He wasn't crying anymore and I was happy.

I brought him close to me and pulled out my phone.

"If you want, I can make reservations?" I asked.

"Your the best Hunter."
