IN REAL LIFE
Rosalie
I was running late. I was supposed to meet Toby at the cafe around 3:00. Well, it's 2:50 and I'm just now leaving.
You're probably thinking, wow you have lots of time.
No actually, I don't. I have to walk. Usually it would take 5 minutes to drive there, but my car is being repaired.
I walked out the door, locking the door behind me. Outside, it was snowy and cold. I almost slipped trying to get to the sidewalk. I sped walked as fast as I could. I considered running, but I think it's best I don't risk slipping.
I got to the cafe with 2 minutes to spare. Toby wasn't here yet. The inside of the cafe smelled like bread and coffee. The barista heard the bell above the door when I came in and shot me a smile.
"What can I get you?" She called as she reached down for something.
"Umm. Nothing, just waiting for a friend," I replied
A friend. That's what he thinks of me. Me on the other hand, I'd rather think of something more when I hear the ding ding of my phone when he texts me.
But he doesn't need to know that.
The door's little dinger rang, and I turned. There he was. Toby scanned the room until we locked eyes.
I guess that photo wasn't off of google.
I grinned, "What's up tee tee!"
"Hey"
"What can I get you, tee tee is it?" The over-flirty barista asked.
I glared at her. He ignored her and made his way to where I was sitting.
"So I guess neither of us are 40 years old after all, huh?" He joked
"I guess not."
"Don't sounds so disappointed!"

We had a long, long conversation. We stayed late and got some biscuits to go.
I had a great time. Lots of good laughs.
I wanna say Toby did too, but I can't speak for him.
