Jacob was born as Jacob Ewrin wetterling on February 17th 1978 to Jerry and Patty Wetterling in st Joseph Minnesota Jacob loved to play with his big sister Cameron and his little brother Trevor wetterling.Jacob also enjoyed to collect football cards.Jacob was funny,athletic,happy and friendly. Jacob loved guacamole so much his nickname became jacamole his dad gave him the nickname.When Jacob was four one night After Jacob read Dr. Seuss' "Hop on Pop" entirety all by himself his mother congratulated him and asked if he wanted to read it again.

"Nope. I got it," Jacob replied. By age six Jacob broke his left arm and "he thought a puppy would make him feel better"his mom patty said.Jacob was in soccer and hockey he loved to watch football.Jacob's soccer number was 11. Patty recalls asking Jacob if it bothered Jacob if people scored on him?Jacob replied "if it went in it was a great shot if it if I stopped it was a good save". Once, on a fishing trip with , Jerry , his younger brother Trevor and his cousin Kevin, Jacob brought along a small box of candy. "The candy Nerds," While they fished, Jacob opened the box of candy, shook it to make a little noise and offered to share it. As he shared, he would hold out his box of Nerds and say, 'Want some Kevins?' He kept shaking that box of Nerds all day ... saying, 'Who wants some more Kevins?"
