Jacob was at practice with his friend Aaron Larson and his little brother Trevor on October 22nd 1989.Jacobs parents were babysitting they were out of town they would be back later so Jacob had to walk home with Trevor and Aaron.They asked if they could go get the movie Top gun. His dad said yes so they go it at a near by movie store what is now a Casey's gas station by his dads Chiropractic office. Jacob and his friend and brother were on there road home when a car pulled up "I thought it was a teenager playing a prank on us" said Aaron to the local news. A man got out later to be identified as . The man got out of the truck told Trevor to run into the woods or he would shoot! "All I could see was the light reflecting off his revolver" Aaron went on to say to the news. Trevor ran into the woods to go get help. He yelled at Jacob and Aaron to get down! The man then asked them both there ages. He grabbed Jacob and told Aaron to run into the woods " Me and Jacob kinda looked a like from behind" said Aaron to Fox News.
