I put on the first thing I saw in the suitcase. A floral pink tunic over white shorts. I put my brown hair in a loose ponytail. I painted my nails blue, because I was going crazy waiting for the clock to tick five.

When it was quarter to five, I couldn't wait anymore.

"Mom! I'm going down to the beach!"

"Why now?"

"To meet a friend!"

"Who?"

I hesitated. Nope, I wasn't going to tell my mom. That'd be pure embarrasment.

"Dosen't matter! Will be back in a few hours!", I yelled, while putting my sandals on.

"Stay safe!"

I smiled. Austin there? Everything will be alright.

I walked down the beach and scanned the rock we planned to meet at. I found it pretty quick. How? Because I could see a familiar brown haired guy sitting on it, looking down at the shore. I smiled.

"AUSTIN!", I yelled, pacing forward.

He looked around. When he saw me, he smiled and stood up.

I looked at him and paused. He looked better than ever. His hair crazy messy, his green eyes glimmering in the light and even in the most casual shorts ever, he looked amazing.

I didn't want to seem too obvious, so I continued walking. I stopped, a few feet away from him.

"You're early.", he said.

I raised my eyebrows. "Yeah. You're one to talk. ", I said.

He reddened. There was a silence and soon, we were facing the shore.

"Ice cream?", he said.

"What?", I said blankly.

"Do you want some icecream?", he asked, looking at me.

"Yes please."

We turned around and made our way to the icecream truck.

I ended up getting a coconut flavoured icecream and he got a SpongeBob SquarePants designed one.

I laughed as he bit off a part of Spongebob's head.

"'I've always hated these.", he said, licking it.

"Then why did you get it?"

He frowned at me. "For the gumballs obviously.", gesturing to SpongeBob's eyes.

I laughed. "You're such a loser."

"I know."

I looked at him. It was so easy talking to him. So easy. I didn't even have to try. He liked me for who I am. And I liked that.

He caught me staring. "What?"

"It's nothing.", I said, walking forward.

"No tell me. I want to know."

"It's just...it's just...", I stammered.

"It's just?"

I stopped walked and looked at him.

"It's just I wanted to know how tall you were."

He  looked at me and burst out laughing.

"Why?"

"I don't know. Just asking."

"6 feet. You?", he said.

"5"4."
