Third Person POV:

Walking quietly behind the Slytherin posse with her own friend group, Serena hangs her head a bit.  She can hear her friends chatting about something... Maybe it's the latest exam or the upcoming grade release, but she doesn't listen.  She's consumed by guilt all because of Blaise Zabini.  Well, it wasn't necessarily Blaise, but it was her feelings for him.  Her dad, Remus Lupin.  Had never been fond of the families of any of the Slytherin house members since the beginning of time and Serena likes one of them.  She could never tell him, though.  Her father or Blaise.  It would change too much and things were perfectly fine how they were minus the fact that Voldemort has returned.  That was less than opportune.  

Serena follows the Slytherins and her friends down to the greenhouses.  There, they put on their herbology gear and wait for Professor Sprout to appear. 

"Oi, Blaise!" Draco Malfoy hisses at his friend.

"What is it, Malfoy?" Blaise asks, raising his head up slowly.

"I heard a rumour that you like someone!  Who is it?" Draco pries, making Blaise's cheeks blush.  Serena's heart sinks. "Oooo!  I see!  It is true!  Well, who is she?  She must be very special to make someone like you show any sort of embarrassment!"

"Come on, Blaise!  Spill!   Tell us!" Crabbe grunts.  Goyle comes to the side of Blaise and shoves him roughly, sending him towards stumbling, crashing into Theodore Nott.

"Ow! Watch it you all!" Theodore grumbles in discomfort, rubbing his arm that Blaise hit.  Crabbe and Goyle roll their eyes.  "I plan to die after Hogwarts, thank you very much!"

"Sorry, mate," Blaise mumbles, returning to his position around the tables filled with plants.   Serena looks up and for a second, Blaise meets her gaze.  She quickly averts her eyes and sighs to herself.

"He's already into someone else...," she whispers as Professor Sprout comes bursting in through the doors.

Ever since Serena found out about Blaise's interest in another girl, Serena has been out of sorts and generally jealous of whoever this girl could be.  Thumbing through the pages of her homework reading, she stares off into space, not actually focusing on any part of her assignment.

"Serena?" someone says from behind her.  Serena looks up and turns around to see Hermione Granger, one of her friends.  "Are you okay?"

"W-What?  Oh.  Yeah...   I'm just great.  I just got caught up thinking... that's all.  Nothing much going on over here...," Serena trails off and Hermione crosses her arms, dismayed.

"Come on, I know you.  Something's definitely wrong.  You can tell me.  I'm your friend," Hermione says.  Serena finally sighs.  

"Well... I like this guy," she starts and Hermione nods. "He likes someone else and I'm just a bit lost.   He's been someone I think about a lot and now I can't think of him without thinking about who that girl could be and why he couldn't like me..."

"I see...," Hermione says.  "You're jealous and sad, Serena, and I know it stings... but it would be best to move on.  If you really do know he likes someone else, you should move on and stop dwelling on the thought of him.  Spend time with your friends and have fun.  Thinking of him just takes the fun out of the day.  Perk up, Serena.  You can do it."
