planning. a year of planning what was supposed to be the best day of their lives. delilah and harry had a lot of help from their family and closest friends, but it was still a lot to take in and deal with.

they laid in bed, harry's arm around delilah's bare body. it was quiet as they pondered life after the big day they would wake up into.

"kids," delilah mumbled out loud. they hadn't had that conversation, harry probably finding the topic too sensitive for delilah anytime it crossed his mind. like when they cleaned out leo's nursery he wondered if she would even want children, but couldn't bring it up to her with tears streaming down her face. so, delilah thought about the topic and began to think out loud.

"hm?" he hummed into the back of her neck.

"do you want kids?" she inquired.

"i think i'd like at least one, but i've always liked the idea of a big family," he admitted remembering his desires of a sibling to run around the house with growing up. he liked that delilah had a big family, and even more that they welcomed him into theirs.

"i want kids," she breathed. "just not sure how many."

"plenty of time to figure it all out, darling," he kissed her head. "can't wait to see you at the end of the aisle tomorrow."

"same with you. i love a man in a tux," she commented. he chuckled and tightened his embrace.

"get some rest, lovely. i'll see you tomorrow," she turned and kissed his lips murmuring "i love you" with him returning the words.

the bed was empty when the sun shined through the window and into her barely opened eyes. startled and clutching the covers to her body, delilah sat up straight at the sudden voice of mila.

"oh, thank god you're finally up. i didn't have to heart to wake you, but i would have done it," she enthusiastically chirped from the door. "toss something on, we need to get a move on. you're getting fucking married!"
