When the Rain Will Pass

One stormy night, Harry walked down the streets of a town he called home. Rain pelted down onto his hair, which is as dark as coal. The rain had smoothed down his hair, making it straight other than how it usually is.

His jade eyes were usually bright and happy, but now they are full of worry. His charming, jade eyes were focused on only the young baby he hugged to his chest.

The poor child was with him for these past four hours, freezing the whole way. Harry didn't think that it was right to leave him and Jaiden out in the middle of spring, to make their way home themselves.

Harry's possessive wife was the woman who believed that this was a great idea. She had done things like this multiple times, but Harry knew this was only child's play to what she could really do. He didn't care what she did to him; he just wanted to keep Jaiden safe.

As Harry tramped farther down into the town, Jaiden began to shiver while being cradled in his arms. Hugging her closer, he began to look at the houses he had seen a million times before.

The houses were tall, and made of brick. Every structure was the same, and it gave the same feeling everytime Harry saw them. The yards were tiny, and so were the driveways. Some houses occasionally had small toys spreaded out all over the lawn, but those houses were rare.

As he continued on, Harry felt like the sidewalk would never get to his designation. Even if he ever got there, he doubted that he would be greeted with a warm welcome. Most likely it would be the opposite.

Harry's eyes darted back and forth, searching for his old home. Where the insane woman would be there, wondering why he was soaked.

Harry never thought of his wife as insane. He loved her with all of his heart, even if she does all these terrible things to him. It did bother him, but he still couldn't stop loving her.

Finally Harry spotted his target. The home was waiting for him, the lights shining through the windows. Relived, he quickened his pace, and Jaiden stirred in his arms. Harry cradled her even closer to him as he got closer.

He kept running, chasing the chance to be home again. Hoping that his wife wouldn't be fuming at him anymore, so he could be able to rest.

Earlier that day, Jaiden began to get really hungry on the way to Veronica's job. While Harry tried to calm Jaiden down, Veronica complained while she was driving.

Harry told her to stop complaining because it wasn't helping anyone at the moment, which was the truth. Veronica decided to ignore him, and continue conplaining about Jaiden. Soon enough, Harry couldn't stand Veronica saying those kinds of things about her own daughter. They began to fight, and he ended up alongside the road, being forced to walk home in the cold rain.

As he got closer to the house, the lights inside the home kept calling him, begging the poor man to speed up. After we pass two more homes, he thought, then we will be there.

"Don't worry Jaiden," Harry cooed to the shivering baby, "We are almost home."

Jaiden revealed a small smile upon hearing her father's voice. Her smile determined Harry to get there even sooner.

Harry stopped in front of the brick home, and for the first time in forever he was glad he was there. His eyes began to check the windows to see if the demon wife was waiting for him, arms crossed. Not surprisingly, the woman was no where to be found.

Harry felt that he couldn't stand in the rain no longer, and he traveled up the steps, and finally to the door.

Suddenly, his joy plummeted when he noticed something through the window of the door.
