>>>>>ALEXANDRIA

“Alex! We finally made it! We graduated!” My best friend Andrea squealed as she burst into my bedroom.

“Who let you in?” I asked looking up from the letter in my hand.

“Your mom.” She answered confused to how that was relevant.

“I will have to have a talk with her about opening the door for loonies.” I muttered looking back down at my letter. I heard a gasp and had to bite my lip to stifle a laugh.

“Well I guess I will just leave then! I know when I’m not wanted!” Andrea huffed dramatically and I rolled my eyes as I tossed my letter on the bedside table. I stood from my bed and looked at her.

“Andrea. You know I was just joking around. You are my boo!” I assured walking over to my best friend. I blinked a few times and my head twitched slightly to the right.

“So I am guessing your presence here means you are ready to get dolled up for the celebration?” I assumed giving her a quick hug and walking over to my closet.

“Well of coarse my darling. What was that you were looking at when I came in? A love letter?” Andrea joked as she sashayed her way over to my bedside table and picked up the letter with a grin.

“Not quite. But I got the track scholarship.” I smiled and she jumped up and down excitedly as she read the paper.

“That is two scholarships! Congrats babe!” Andrea dropped the letter and tackled me in a hug.

“Which one are you going to use?” She asked curiously stepping back to look at me.

“I can combine the two. Track and swimming both offer the same amount and as long as I go to a college that offers both, I can combine the two scholarships.” I informed proudly.

“Are you still going to that California College?” She wondered. I nodded.

“American River College in Sacramento.” I recited.

“I am so proud of you.” Andrea gushed giving me another breath taking hug.

“You are still going to Yale right?” I clarified and she shook her head.

“I got an offer from California College of the Arts in San Francisco. I am going their instead.” She smiled and my head twitched again.

“Yale is ranked the best school for the Arts and you have talked about going there for as long as I can remember. You changed your mind because of me didn’t you?” I accused.

“San Francisco is ranked number 11 so there isn’t a big difference. Yale is only number one because of the name. That does not mean it is any better.” She argued and I groaned.
