Chapter Two
All of my classes went by so freaking slow that I almost fell asleep during third period. When the bell rings for lunch, I practically run out of class and make my way to the lunchroom. I find my friends and start walking towards them until someone from behind me kisses my cheek. I spin around to find my boyfriend, Tyler, smiling down at me. Tyler Anderson has dark hair and dark eyes. He's tall, muscular, and the most popular guy at our school. We've been dating for two years. We're kind of the "it-couple."
"Hey babe. How was the trip to your aunt's house?" I ask.
"It was good. Charlie wouldn't stop complaining about how long the car ride was. But other than that, it was good. Are you going to the party tonight?"
"How could I miss one of Kyle's famous parties? Although, I don't understand why he's calling it the 'last day of school party' when Monday is the last day of school."
"Hm, I don't know. Maybe he didn't wanna throw a party on a Monday. Or maybe he's just dumb and thought today was the last day of school."
I laugh. "Yeah, that could be it." We head over to our friends.

Maya and I go back to my place to get ready for tonight's party. We're listening to music and finding something to wear.
"Maya, I have nothing to wear!" I drop on my bed, frustrated. I'm on the verge of giving up and staying home. "I went through my closet like fifty times."
"Wear your short black dress."
"Which one?"
"The one you wore to my birthday party last year."
"Oh, yeah. That's cute. I'll try that one. What are you gonna wear?"
"I think I'll wear your silk, red dress." The dress she's talking about is one I never wore that my cousin gifted to me.
"That's a little revealing, Sis." We call each other Sis a lot. People say it's cringe-worthy. I don't know.
"Who cares? It's a party, girl. Let me live a little."
I chuckle. "Alright."
After changing into our dresses, we do our hair and makeup. I decided to curl my hair and put it up in a ponytail with pieces coming out to give it a little messy look. I rarely have my hair down. I go for a more natural makeup look: eyeliner, mascara, and light pink lipgloss. Maya decided to curl her long, blonde hair. She went for a more edgy, hot look: smoky eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, and red lipstick. I could never do red lipstick. It's too bold, whereas I'm soft.
Maya was supposed to drive us to the party at 10:00. It's 10:21. Um, we're fashionably late, okay?
The car ride is quick and fun. Kyle's house isn't too far from mine. We get out of the car and everyone greets us. This'll be a fun night.
