This is for you Lindsay, and for being so eager. :)
Harry and Lindsay
Lindsay's P.O.V
I looked across the table, my best friend of two years was sitting across from me, a cup of tea in his hand. We never really got much alone time anymore ever since his band and him have made it worldwide and have world tours. I sighed happily, listening to him ramble on about the concerts, and how the fans were amazing. I nodded here and threre, circling the rim of my cup with my index finger.
"Lindsay? Are you listening?" My best friend asked me. I snapped my eyes up to him, his brown curly hair was messed up from him running his hands through it a lot and his piercing green eyes were filled with concern.
"Sorry, what was that?" I said, smiling innocently at Harry Styles, my best friend.
He chuckled and sent me a cheeky smile, "Spacing out on me are we love?"
"Just thinking about how much I missed you," I blurted out. I always had a tendancy to say what was on my mind, and most of the things I've said were probably embarrassing and awkward for anyone to hear.
"Aww, I miss you too." Harry told me, smiling at me. I rolled my eyes and took a sip of my tea that had gotten cold while we sat here. The shop was pretty much empty at this time of day, and it was starting to get dark out.
"Should we go babe?" Harry asked me, picking up his dark blue trench coat and slipping it on. I nodded at him and we left the shop and started out into the streets of LA. There were a few people who noticed Harry on our way to his apartment, so he stopped and signed a few autographs and took a few pictures then we were on our way again.
"Um, Harry," I said to him after a while of walking. This route didn't look like the one we usually take unless he had moved apartments. "Are we going the wrong way?" I asked.
He looked around and shook his head no, "We're just taking a shortcut love, come on."
He stuffed his hands inside his trench coat and burried his face from the wind that had started to pick up. It was pretty cold for a night in LA, probably the coldest before the start of summer. We walked a little bit more before I got anxious, where were we going?
"Harry, seriously I think we went the wrong way." I noted, looking around anxiously. I thought we were going back to his apartment? Plus, I've never been on this side of town, and it's a good twenty minute walk back to the heart of the city.
"Okay, you can stop being so anxious love, we are here." Harry's voice interupted my thoughts. Here? Here where?
I looked up and to my surprise, I saw the batting cages.
"The batting cages? Why?"
Harry's smile dropped from his lips and he scrunched up his eyebrows, "Don't you like the batting cages?" He asked and I nodded, "Well, I thought I'd take you out tonight."
My heart skipped a beat, 'take you out'. That sounds like a date, doesn't it? But, do I want it to be? I mean, I've been hurt before and even though I'm pretty sure Harry wouldn't hurt me, I still didn't want to take a chance.
"Stop over thinking things babe," Harry said taking a bat and getting into the cage, waiting for the ball to hurl out towards him. Once it did, he swung the bat and closed his eyes. He opened back up his eyes and looked around.
I laughed, "The ball is behind you. You didn't hit it!"
He mocked my laughter and turned back around, ready for the next ball. This went on for about another 5 minutes, and he had managed to hit two of the balls.
