Bevvie❤️
Hey Bev, today was the first
day back to school from the
holidays it sucked without you
there .... I miss you so much.
delivered 4:33I turned my phone off of course not expecting a reply. I flopped on my bed. I missed my best friend so much. She would've been here if it wasn't for me.
Flashback
I just asked my mum if Beverley could come over and she said yes. So she was currently driving to my house and I was laying on my bed waiting for her. She only lived 10 mins away so she would get to my place quick. I was still sitting on my bed after 40 mins. I decided to call her. It rang 3 times until someone picked, but it wasn't Beverley. It was guy"Hello, who is this?" He said
"Who is this?!" I replied
"This is the police, I'm afraid there has been an accident and whoever owned this phone was involved" He said sadly
"Is my friend alright" I yelled
"I'll give you further information but you need to go to the Hawkins police station" He said calmly
"I'm on my way" I cried.
I hanged up and shoved my phone in my pocket, grabbed my keys and sped out of my house to my car. I jumped in and turned on the ignition. I sped to the police station, going through every red light. I had finally arrived and ran in. I went to reception and asked for the crash that had just happened. The reception lady asked me if I was the girl on the phone. I then replied yes. She then directed me to an office and told me to wait. Shortly after a police officer walked in he introduced himself as Chief Hopper.
"You don't have to talk" he began " I'm afraid your friend has been in a fatal car accident, it appears she was on her phone whilst driving and wasn't watching where she was going, she smashed into another car, but they survived"
He paused.
"I'm afraid your friend didn't" he finished sadly.
I let out a sob, tears were running down my face. He looked at me sadly.
"I know this is very hard for you, but I need to know who your friend is" the police officer explained.
Once I calmed myself down I told him about her.
"Her name is Beverley Marsh, she is 17 years old and lives with her Aunty. Her parents died when she was young." I cried
I was struggling to fight back tears. He later told me that they found her phone. He gave it to me and I took it home. I decided that night to go through it to see why she was on her phone. I first went on snapchat, the last person she snapped was me but from yesterday. I then went on messages, the last person she messaged was also me. I clicked on our messages and struggled to fight back tears.
She typed something.
But didn't manage to send it.
It read.
"Sorry I'm running late"
