Double the Love (Book 1 Love)

Chapter 11 A Month Later

Nikki POV

Its been a month since I rejected Jason and Eric. I haven't spoken to them in this month nor seen them. I mostly stay in my room and play on my computer or watch TV. Theo didn't take on the Alpha position so that problems solved but still. I can't get over the fight I had with Jason and Eric. Inez has been so busy with our younger cousins that I really don't see her. I take care of them too but I'm not so good with little kids.

"Nikki? You wanna go on a walk with us?" Inez asks breaking my thoughts. I look up and see her standing there with 8 year old Lucas and 5 year old Abby. "Come on, you need some fresh air." I nod and stand up, pulling my shoes on and grabbing my jacket.

"Nikki? Can you give me a piggy back ride?" Abby asks. I smile and pick her up, carrying her out the door into the fresh, spring air. She wraps her arms around my neck and rests her head on mine.

"Where are we going?" Lucas asks. I look at Inez who shrugs.

"Why don't we go to Silver River? The water is warm enough to play in." I say. Lucas nods and we walk down the road than into the grass field leading to Silver River. I let Abby down and she runs to the water with Lucas. Inez and I sit down on the fallen over tree.

"You okay?" she asks. I shake my head look down. "Whats up? Is it about Jason and Eric?"

"Kinda I guess. I don't know." I say. She sighs and takes my hand. "Have you ever had a really bad fight with Theo?"

"Oh yeah, sure. We've gotten into so many fights. Really bad ones too." she says. I look up and see her smiling. "The worst one is when Theo deleted my Facebook account. I lost my shit and just went after him." she says. Inez loves her Facebook but to only keep contact with our family members.

"I remember that, you broke my cellphone." I say. She laughs and we look to see Lucas and Abby splashing water at each other. I hear distant footsteps coming from behind. I look as see Jason and Eric with a woman about early 20s. I slump down as they walk through the brush and see us.

"Nikki, Inez look!" Abby says pointing at the boys. I sigh and turn to see Jason and Eric smiling. Abby runs up and sits on my lap. "Who are they?" she asks.

"Thats Jason and Eric. They're friends." I say. She jumps up and walks over to them. 

"I'm Abby!" she says. Jason bends down and shakes her hand. "Nice to meet you. Thats my brother Lucas." 

"Nice to meet you to." he says. He looks at me, giving me a weak smile. I look down and play with my sleeves. "This is our older sister Maxie." he says.

"I'm Inez and thats Nicole my sister but everybody calls her Nikki." she says. I look up and smile. She smiles back and sits down next to Inez. 

"Nicole, can we please talk to you?" Jason asks. I nod and stand up, following him away from the rest. "I'm sorry, I just really need to talk to you." he says.

"What do you wanna talk about?" I ask. He turns around and frowns. I can see he's trying to hold back tears.

"That was a lie. I just wanted to be close." he says. "I'm not handling this very well." 

"Jason, I told you I needed time and I......" he cuts me off with a kiss. A soft, sweet, loving kiss. My arms wrap his around his neck, running my hands through his hair. He lifts me up, pushing me against a tree. I wrap my legs around his waist as the kiss gets intense. He pulls away and rest his forehead against mine.

"I'm sorry." he whispers. I shake my head and smile. "So, do you forgive me?"

"Yes but not Eric. I still need time with him." I say. He nods and lets me down. "But we can hang out once and a while."  I say. He smiles and pulls me in for a hug. "Lets head back." we start back for the group. I think I'm falling for the Alpha boys again but the wounds are still there and Eric needs to take care of them. Until than I'll be with Jason.

Okay, happy now? Jason and Nikki will have a secret relationship behind Eric's back but everything will get better soon.
