Kurokos p.o.v.

When we arrived in Chicago, it was late, and Nigou had the right idea by sleeping in my bag once he was out of the cage. Makotos mom got us a taxi to ride in, and I flipped my phone open, once I got in, to call Kagami of course.

"Kuroko?" I heard a weary answer.

"Kagami-Kun, I would like to inform you that I am in Chicago."

"Youre in-!" Makoto toke the phone.

"Where do you guys play tomorrow, and where can I buy tickets?...Oh, youll give us tickets?...You mean they sold out...whatever, where should we meet you tomorrow?...I dont know where that is...fine, whatever, ill google it...what do you mean?...Of course I brought him. My mother had a seminar here, and when we found out it was in Chicago, he asked so I complied...you act like I have no emotions at all...whatever asshole, well see you tomorrow." He finished and hung up the phone.

"What was that about?" I asked, and he grunted.

"He didnt believe that I would I would bring you to see a game in the states just because you wanted to. Anyways, do you have any idea what a McDonalds is?" He asked, and I nodded.

"Kagami told me awhile back. I believe its the equivalent of a Maji Burger, but with more calories and cholesterol." I answered, and he sighed.

"Of course, it is." He said and yawned. When we got to the hotel room, he scowled. His mom only booked two rooms, both with a single bed. She gave the excuse that she tried for three rooms, but there were only two left and both being singles because of the game.

I just changed into my sleepwear, yes in front of Makoto because I was to jet lagged to care and got on my side of the bed.

"Stop pouting. You sleep in the same bed as me every other day." I said, and he groaned. Soon I felt the bed dip under his weight and his warmth enveloped me. I unconsciously moved closer, and he froze. This always happened when I tried to cuddle with him. So, I went to move away, but his arm snaked around my waist and his hand rested on my stomach.

"Goodnight Tetsuya." He said, and I smiled.

"Goodnight Makoto." I said and slept the best I have in a while.

The next morning, we ate the hotel breakfast, Makoto rented a car, and we went sightseeing for the day. All my idea because I have never been here before. The afternoon didnt end without a few souvenirs, and Makoto wore a scowl as he carried all the bags. We then went to meet Kagami at the McDonalds he mentioned.

We walked in, and I could practically smell the fat. We ordered, with difficulty translating, Makoto just getting coffee and a vanilla milkshake for myself. We sat in the back and waved down Kagami-Kun. After he ordered his 24 burgers, he sat down and smiled.

"I have to admit, I didnt believe it. How did you get Bakamiya to bring you to my game?" Kagami asked, and I withheld a chuckle at Makotos bulging vein.

"I simply asked." I said and squeezed Makotos hand under the table. He visibly calmed, and it was Kagamis turn to laugh.

"No seriously Kuroko, I have to know."

"I really did ask. Well, not really. He noticed that I wanted to go when Chicago was brought up and just told his mom to buy me a ticket." I said and Kagami sobered up.

"This asshole?" He pointed to Makoto and I nodded.

"I dont believe it."

"You dont have to believe it you motherfucker, but it happened. As proof, Tetsuya is right in front of you." Makoto said, and I squeezed his hand again.

"Anyways," I smiled and started a new conversation. We got our tickets to the game that started in a few hours, so we went back to the hotel. Makoto insisted that we eat, so a few hours later we were eating take out in the rental car in front of the stadium. Of course, when we got there, people were already crowding, and we had trouble finding our seats. As it turned out, our seats were nearly front row.

Not even five minutes after we sat down, a ball came hurdling to the stands. We ducked as it hit the man behind us. I grabbed the ball from the ground, and none other than the captain came to retrieve it.

"Sorry about that. Teammate got angry and threw the ball." He rubbed his neck and Makoto translated for me. The man waved off the bloody nose and forgave the captain before he walked away.

The game was interesting, im sure the generation would have loved to see it. Makoto started holding hand halfway through the third quarter, claiming it was for support so he doesnt punch Kagami every time he misses an easy shot, but there was something else behind it. I focused on the game, pleased when Kagami made the game winning dunk. The team celebrated, and Kagami invited us out for drinks with his team saying that the consensual age in japan is 13, they dont need to know that doesnt mean you can drink.

So somehow we got into a bar and passed off as adults. Makoto shamelessly pulled me into his lap like he always does and orders our drinks while I answer texts on my phone.

"You let him order for you?" One of the Americans asked, and Makoto answered since I dont speak English.

"I am the reason that Tetsuya even drinks. I know what he likes and what he doesnt." He answered, and our drinks came. I toke a sip of Makotos on accident and the burn made me cough. Makoto chuckled and toke his drink from my hand and toke a drink. I grabbed my own and finished it in no time. The drink was good, so I convinced Makoto to order me another.

The American guys looked skeptical. "Knows what he likes my ass." One mumbled, and Makoto smirked as he translated.

I decided that actions speak louder than words and grabbed Makotos drink from his hand and knocked what was left back. I was used to his drinking tastes, so Kagami was the only one unfazed in some way.

"You should never say anything that could result in your shock. Hanamiya knows what youre saying, and Kuroko is more than happy to prove you wrong if he doesnt agree with you. In this case hes showing that while Hanamiya knows what he drinks, Kuroko is more than happy to knock back a few of Hanamiyas as well. If they were dating, they would be the most ferocious power couple Ive seen." Kagami said, and Makoto was nodding along.

Hanamiyas p.o.v.

When we got back to the hotel and settled into bed, I turned to Tetsuya.

"Why are you still here? I would have assumed you would have gone with that idiot ace of yours." I abruptly asked, knowing that Tetsuya was not asleep yet. I felt him turn and met blue eyes.

"I am a shadow Makoto-"

"Yeah I know that."

"Let me finish." I rolled my eyes and shut my mouth.

"Im a shadow, and a shadow must always have a light. Thats Kagami-Kun, but im sure you knew that. A shadow can never be with the light, for once a shadow crosses into the light, it is no longer a shadow. You, however, are the darkness. Youre everything Kagami-Kun is not, and a shadow is always welcome with the darkness." He finished, and I was at a loss for words.

That was so cheesy and stupid I should just kick him out now. Then I met his eyes again, and I knew I couldnt. I wasnt scared of what my team would do if I kicked away their favorite outsider, or what Seirin would do if I break their backbone. I was scared, however, of what this little man would do if I kicked him out.

Well, maybe scared isnt the word. It wasnt scary what Tetsuya was capable of. The fact remains that he wouldnt do anything, and yet he would haunt me for the rest of my life. I couldnt help but laugh, because he finally did it. Kuroko Tetsuya broke me, Hanamiya Makoto.

"Fine Tetsuya. Let me warn you though, this is your last chance to walk away, im a very possessive person." I said, only to be met with a smile that covered up the mischief in his eyes.

"I dont mind."

Maybe I broke him too.
