Part 3

-Magnus-
Magnus didn't knew how long he was here now because he lost his feeling for time. His whole body felt weak and limp. He hardly had any strength left. Suddenly the door opened and the light lit up. Magnus had to close his eyes for a moment because they had to get used to the light. He heard how James came over to him and then he felt his cold fingertips at his neck again:" I didn't knew if you are dead or not but I know that you are a fighter." James took the bottle with the blood:" I hoped that you would be so weak know that you would lose control so I can see your wonderful cateyes and get them." Magnus wanted to protest but he couldn't say anything. Suddenly Magnus let out a sharp pained scream. James pulled the long cannula out of his neck. Blood dropped down on his skin and flowed down and then James released Magnus' head so he could move it again. Now he felt dizzy. James sat down and smiled at Magnus:" I have to admit that I have a problem because you won't give up and fight and fight but then I had a really good idea. How would Magnus Bane lose control so he would show me his cateyes and I can take them from him? There was just one answer....Alexander Lightwood." Magnus' eyes got wide:" No...please..." He was too weak to protest. James laughed loud and sniped with his fingers. The unknown and dark creature appeared again and when he sniped a second time the creature turned into an image of Magnus. They looked 100% the same:" Perfect, right? I think your Alexander will enjoy it to see you a last time." James opened a portal and the creature went through it. Magnus tried to free himself but he got dizzy again because his power was gone:" Magnus, you need a little bit more fun in your life. Don't be afraid you won't miss something from what will come." In front of them appeared a black whirl and so they could observe everything that happened. James whispered something in Magnus' ear:" Do you think your death will destroy him?"

-Alec-
Alec couldn't sleep the whole night and he had no energy left. His eyes were red and swollen. Suddenly he heard fast footsteps in the hallway and then someone banged at his door. He couldn't answer when Cat opened it:" Alec, you need to come over now! We found something." Alec jumped out of his bed and followed her. When they reached the others Alec saw the necklace with the pendant:" What's the meaning of this?" Alec was surprised and confused because the pendant shimmered in a dark green light:" Suddenly it began to shimmer and we don't know what it means but-" "Can you find him with it?" Alec felt his energy again because he was full with hope:" I...I can try..." Cat took the pendant and closed her eyes. Then she began to speak a spell and she repeated it again and again until she opened her eyes. For Alec it felt like forever:" And?" Cat smiled a little and nodded:" I found him." Without wasting another second everyone got ready and they went to the place Cat told them. Alec' heart was very fast and his emotions were mixed and confused. On one side he was full with hope. He hoped that he could hold Magnus in his arms again, to touch him, to kiss him and to be there just for him. On the other side he was full with fear. He feared that he could be too late to save Magnus; he feared that he would only hold Magnus' cold body in his arms; he feared he could never touch his soft lips, never feel his warmth and never see his smile again. He shook his head and tried to push these thoughts away. He wanted only to believe that he would have Magnus by his side again. Alec, Jace and Izzy stood in front of a forest. It was the middle of the day but you could sense how dangerous and dark the forest was but nothing could hold Alec back now. Cat showed them the exact place where they could find Magnus. It took a while until they reached the place but here was...nothing. No James. No Magnus. Alec didn't knew what he exactly felt now.

-Magnus-
Magnus hadn't much energy left because the most he used to hide his cateyes from James. His eyes felt heavy and his whole body hurts but the worst thing was that he didn't knew what James wanted to do with Alec. Suddenly Magnus could see something in the black whirl. Magnus saw a forest. Even in his state he could sense the dark aura from it. James sat beside him and for him it was just like to watch a movie. Magnus' eyes widened when he saw Alec, Jace and Izzy. They looked around and Magnus could clearly see how panicked and terrified Alec was:" What...do you-" "Ssssh. I want to see this." James snapped with his finger and he held a bag of popcorn in his hands. Magnus was horrified how heartless his old friend was. He held out the popcorn to Magnus:" Do you want some?" When Magnus ignored him and was just focused at what happened at the forest James laughed and turned around to the whirl, too. Magnus couldn't stand it. No matter what was James' plan Magnus knew it would truly hurt Alec. Maybe James was right and it would destroy Alec and that was the last thing Magnus wanted. It doesn't matter what he would do to Magnus but Magnus couldn't accept it when Alec would feel so much pain. When Magnus was lost in his thoughts he suddenly heard a loud shout and he immediately recognized it. It was Alec. Magnus' heart shattered in thousand pieces when he saw the disappointment and helplessness in Alec' face. He was full with hatred and he shouted at Jace. Jace only stood there and didn't said anything he just accepted Alec' feelings until Alec was silent. Magnus saw how tears rolled down Alec' cheeks. Magnus couldn't bear how much pain Alec felt. When he saw Alec like that he suddenly had to close his eyes tightly. It happened exactly what James wanted. Magnus lost his control and his cateyes showed. He needed much energy to get it back and he succeeded but it was really hard. When he looked a little to the side he saw James' dirty grin and how he ate his popcorn:" Look Magnus. Now comes the BEST part."
