Chapter 3
Laksh breathed in a deep breath taking in the soothing aroma of a beautiful morning. It never failed to amaze him how nature can bring a sense of peace into the heart by just a mere action.
"Abhimanyu! Abhimanyu, aren't you excited?!" came a squeal from Mansi as she entered his room.
'And there goes my peace as this monster enters my room.' Laksh sighed in misery and managed a fake smile. "You don't have to pretend I'm Abhimanyu here Mansi. No one is there to hear us."
"But our marriage is taking place tomorrow! From then on, you'll be putting up as Abhimanyu Khanna for life. It's better to get used to being referred to as so."
Laksh grit his teeth hard in anger, but nodded with a tight smile. "I understand."
"By the way Abhimanyu, could you take Mishka to the hospital today? It's the date for her monthly check up."
"Sure. I'll take her."
"Great! I think the girls have brought my wedding dress as well! I'll go try it out. Bye!"
Laksh watched her go in distress. 'When I decided to go along with this marriage, I thought I could handle it. But now that it's nearing I...I don't think I can do this.'

He looked out of the window with a helpless face. 'The more I think about being away from Ragini for life, the more it kills me from the inside. Help me...someone help me!'

Ragini gasped and placed a hand over her heart. She looked out of the glass panes towards something distant.
"Oi Ragini! You okay?" questioned Nikhil as he stood beside her.
"I...I just felt like someone called for help." Ragini admitted. 'Like Laksh needs me.'
Nikhil's eyes softened on her words. He could understand what she meant. He placed a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, alright? That's why we're here. To help your Laksh. We'll get the proof that he isn't Abhimanyu. That the real Abhimanyu is dead."
