Delancie kept on letting the magic flow out. She will never give up, keeping her mom's promise. The magic was flowing through her veins, making her feel... powerful. This was almost the best thing that has happened to her. If this was a dream, she had to make it good.
"I know who you are, girl." He said in his dark, low, voice. " You're someone I lost long ago..."
Someone I lost long ago. his voice rang in her ears. He seemed familiar to her somehow...
"But now, you are my nemesis," His tone seemed different in the last sentence. He lifted his other hand, and now he was shooting magic with both hands. It was too strong.
All of a sudden her bracelet glowed. A trace of purple glow connected from the bracelet to her her hand and another thin line went to her other hand. She felt a surge of magic flow through her body. Her magic got stronger.
The magic shot out, even more powerful than King Malar's. He tumbled backward, his face full of shock that he had been beaten by a "little girl".
" This won't be the last time you see me," He said as he lifted a crystal that sent a black beam of light that took him and his herd of growling predators away. Her magic had gone away and her bracelet stopped glowing.
Delancie, shivering, could hear Kenneth say "Wow" behind her. She was breathing deep and she felt like fainting. She turned around to face Kenneth, but she was looking down at her hands in horror. She looked up at Kenneth's blue eyes.
"What happened..." she rasped, as she collapsed on the floor, mind swirling with confusing questions, as the world went black.

Delancie awoke in a strange room and she was lying on a bed. There was a weird man that looked like some sort of doctor, but different. He had dark brown hair and the same skin tone, perhaps lighter. He looked like a sweet middle aged man. The man and Kenneth were staring down at her. Her vision was kind of blurry when she woke.
"Is she gonna be ok??" she heard Kenneth's worried voice.
"Yes, she'll be fine, but she'll have blurred vision for a couple of minutes." Delancie felt queasy and the blurred vision was annoying.
Kenneth's face brightened when he saw her open her eyes. "You're ok!!" He exclaimed.
"I'm fine," Delancie said, sitting up. "But who are you-" She said looking at the man. "- and where am I?" Finally her vision had cleared up.
"So you're full of questions, huh?," The man said. "Kenneth told me everything. I'm Dr. Elnid, but you can just call me Elnid. Is your vision better?" He asked.
"Yes it is. And nice to meet you, Elnid. I'm Delancie." They shook hands.
"Well I best be on my way, see you around you two, and nice to meet you Delancie."He said. Delancie nodded as if saying " It was nice meeting you too."
The doctor left the room calmly, Delancie could hear his footsteps faint as he went down the hallway. "Well, we should be going too." Kenneth said as he grabbed his stuff.
What?! "Wait we're leaving already? But it's barely-" Delancie looked at her watch, but realized it was going haywire. "What? Work you watch!" Delancie pulled it off, and threw it towards the door. She took heavy breaths trying to calm down, because anger took her over.
"Woah, calm down, first of all, there is no time in Alteria. Second, don't throw that watch, or whatever you called it. It looks really cool when it goes crazy." Delancie rolled her eyes.
"Wait but why right now? I've just gotten comfortable." She whined.
Now it was Kenneth's turn to roll his eyes. "Come on lazy pants, let's go."

"Where are we going?" Delancie asked, sounding like a brat. But, she had been walking for hours, and she was exhausted. She wiped the sweat off of her forehead, and smeared it on her pants.
"We have to go back to your house," Kenneth ventured. "To get your stuff."
"But how? Dame Aliva will see us." Delancie questioned. As a piece of hair fell out of place and she was getting annoyed, so she took an elastic off of her wrist and tied her hair up in a pony tail.
"Oh I have a plan," Kenneth replied, as he started explaining the plan.
"Ok, but how will Dame Aliva not notice I've been gone for too long?"
"Don't worry, I've got you covered." He said as he pulled out a bag of yellow powder-which was slightly sparkly-out of his pocket.
"What is that?" Delancie squinted at the bag.
"Ohhh Delancie. You do ask a lot of questions don't you?" He said as he booped her on the nose.
Her heart fluttered as she felt her cheeks turn red. He's too cute to be human! She thought.
"Fine, then. I'll tell you what this does," Kenneth dangled the bag in front of her face. "This is the one and only....Drumroll please!" He told Delancie. "Memoriè powder! This Delancie, can be sprinkled on the victim and from the start of her going to foster you, from there to now all memories of hers will be wiped!" He smirked. "Genius or am I right?"
"Totally right!" This will work! It has to! Delancie thought.

As they got to the town, the snuck into an alley next to the house.Kenneth pointed to an air vent nearby.
"We'll climb through that, ok?"
"Got it. I remember." Delancie said as she crouched down. Kenneth crawled in first.
As they reached the living room, Delancie heard yelling. As she got closer she saw the vent into the living room. She saw Dame Aliva pacing around the room yelling;
"WHERE IS THAT DELANCIE!!?? SHE'S TAKING TOO LONG!!" And she finally sat on the couch. Right below the vent.
"Kenneth!! We can pour the powder here!" Delancie said pointing to Dame Aliva.
"Great! Here, this is the powder!" He handed her the Memoriè powder.
She grabbed a handful and sprinkled some on her head. Dame Aliva fell on the couch as if she were sleeping.
"Let's go. Do you know where your bedroom is from here?" Kenneth asked.
Delancie shook her head. "How am I supposed to know? It's not like I crawl through the vents everyday!"
"Well, I guess we're gonna have to search this place." He said as he started crawling forward. After what had felt like a thousand tries looking for her room, Delancie spotted the hall her room was in.
"My room is down that hall and to the right!" Delancie was relived that they found her room. They climbed up the vent and in her room and she gathered her stuff. She grabbed her phone, stuffed animal bear- named Teddy- , her special blanket, a few clothes, and stuffed them in her backpack. She grabbed her backpack and headed off with Kenneth
