Skye was pacing the floor. To say she was nervous would be an understatement. What if she didn't like what she heard?. What if Fury had set this meeting up just to let her down?. Suddenly she was hugged from behind. She swivelled behind to see Ward who had just realised what he'd done and let go but not before Skye slapped him.
In the next room a deep chuckle could be heard as she started to raise her voice.
"You idiot you are absolutely stupid YOU COULD'VE BEEN KILLED WARD DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THAT WOULD HAVE DONE TO THE TEAM... to me. Do you have any idea how being a sleeper agent under orders from Fury to infiltrate Hydra or not. Why did you play me Ward you bloody played me once through Garrett then through Fury. I love you Ward but but you you..." Skye couldn't finish as she burst into tears.
The team who were watching through the serveylence were trying to contemplate Wards next move to tell her that he never loved her. What they didn't expect was for him to pick her up and pull her into his lap. He rocked backwards and forwards whilst whispering encouraging words in her ear. The team watched as he said.
"I nearly turned dark skye Fury lost me once when I agreed to help infiltrate shield but you know what? You saved me. When I saw you it made sense... only you could help me. I know you hate me and I don't blame you I ain't all that trustworthy but please just tell me you love me i at least need to know that." Skye nodded. Ward smiled to himself, she really was one of a kind.
