The next morning, Dalton and Will were early in their arrival to the school's dance studio. The blond was introduced to one of Will's students, maybe a year older than Dal's young coworker, who was early as well. Her name was Willow which was ironic as heck because Will was her dance teacher. She told him about how Will and David had been basically flirting since the workshop had started. When David had finally asked Will out, everyone had not been surprised in the slightest according to her, but were still very ecstatic.
Will was bright red after talking for a while. Then he cleared his throat and asked Willow if she could show Dalton the new choreography they learned so far before the other students arrived. Dalton watched as both Will-something's started dancing the the song Will played off his phone. He would have to wait until the rest of the class got in before seeing the choreo come together since it was made for a larger group, but Dalton was just excited to meet whoever this Calum dude was. He heard that he was funny.
After Will and Willow finished their dance and Will grabbed his vibrating phone from off the floor, the Asian noted that he had a call from David and he would have to take it, so Dalton was in charge.
"Hey." Dal muttered as Will walked out the door.
"Hey yourself," Willow laughed at how awkward the blond was being, "Do you know who David's bringing over if Will brought you?"
"No actually, I've only heard his name, I think it's Calum.
"Cool."
Will walked back in a couple minutes later, still talking on the phone, as both Willow and Dalton had started warming up to each other while stretching. They'd been having a conversation about the importance of eyeliner but were interrupted by the sound of Will's voice.
"Yeah, it's just Willow, Dalton, and I think I saw Graham and Alex out in the halls. I only told Dal about it. Okay, I'll tell him. Thanks, see you later," Will looked up from his phone after hanging up, "Hey Dal, So change of plans. Calum apparently made plans that overlapped so David is bringing someone else. David called him Alan or something."
Dalton was only slightly disappointed but got over it quickly. Hopefully this Alan guy would be nice. He continued stretching as students started arriving. Willow left him to talk to a girl that walked in so Dalton decided to stick with Will. They both continued stretching and talking about upcoming homework they had when David walked in.
"Hey Will!" He smiled putting his bag down to give the tall boy a hug, then he turned to Dalton, "Hey, Dalton right?" Dalton nodded, shaking his hand, "My buddy Alan will be here in a sec, he's just parking the car."
Internally groaning because he realized he'd have to third wheel for awhile, the blond grabbed his phone to avoid socializing for a bit. Waiting for this Alan guy wouldn't take too long he hoped. In two minutes, he already had seen the most awkward lovestruck stuff between Will and David that he'd ever seen in his entire lifetime. They were talking about their upcoming date and holding hands while stretching, it almost made Dalton want to vomit. Not that it wasn't cute, it was just too cute.
Dalton then decided to step out into the hallway to get a drink from the water fountain. Nothing like some hydration before facing some dancing teenagers. While he was taking a couple sips, he heard a voice clearing.
"Excuse me, are you Will? I'm here for the dance thing but David forgot to tell me which room it was in," said a familiar voice, and Dalton realized why that was when he turned around, "Wait, its you!"
The anger from the voice of the man he had been seeing for nearly a month was nowhere near concealed. It shocked Dalton as well, why of all people was the one random person who was frequenting his coffee shop shifts suddenly right in front of him. What were the chances of that Cole guy showing up at the one dance class he was teaching? Last minute, before the blond acted on his own surprise, he decided that messing with Cole some more would be the best way to handle this situation.
"I'm sorry, do I know you?" Thank goodness Dal took that improv class with his sister and Will for a couple weeks. He bet his confused look actually seemed genuine because Cole had then let out a frustrated breath of air and taken the bridge of his nose in between his forefinger and thumb. The other man, took a deep breath before looking up to speak.
"Look, I'm assuming that you're the guy David keeps talking about, Will right? I came up with him and I need to know where the lessons are being held," he said
"Oh I'm not Will, my name's Dalton. I'll show you where Will and David are, just follow me," Dalton walked down towards the classroom where the lesson was being held and did not look back to see if Cole was following.
Of course, the other boy was right behind the blond. As soon as they were through the door, David walked up with Will in tow.
"Yo, Alan, this is Will. I see you've met Dalton," He smiled
"Yeah, unfortunately." Cole mumbled the last part, loud enough that Dalton could hear him but ignored it nonetheless.
"Will, this is Cole but me and our other friend call him Alan, he calls me Chris. It's a music technology class thing to call each other by our middle names."
Dalton stopped listening after hearing that, he was starting to piece things out in his mind. So David recommended Cole to Dalton's place of work. Cole went and became an annoying, spoiled customer of the blond's. The blond, proceeded to want to annoy the other man so every time he walked in for a cup of joe, he was there to ruin it. Then his roommate happens to get a job with a person with was Cole's best friend, then they were both invited to teach for a little. How unlucky could one guy get?
