The New Guy

ELYSIUM

"Did you have fun?" I ask Iridium when she gets home.

"Uh yeah." She tells me, putting her stuff down, but I can tell something's bothering her.

"Are you okay?" I ask.

"Lyse...something weird happened. Like more than once." Well it can be any weirder than what happened to me.

"Elaborate..."

"Okay so, earlier, before me and Jason left, I slipped in what I swear was water."

"Okay...."

"Except, when Jason put his hands on the tile it was completely dry. Then, it happened again. I touched the door handle, and my hand just slipped off. It was wet. But when Jason tried, completely dry. Am I losing my mind Lyse?"

"Well...I think the crazy gene spread to both of us, because something similar happened to me." I tell her slowly. I'm about to say more when the doorbell rings. "I'll get it." I walk over and open the door to see a boy, about our age, with curly dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. He wears a black short sleeve t-shirt, that very well highlights his muscles and abs and black jeans, with vans. In short, he was hot. "Um...can I help you?" The boy smiles, and scratches his head, almost nervously. Although I don't know why he's nervous when I'm the one who could've just opened her door to an axe murder.

"Uh hi, I'm Logan." He says in a steady voice. "I'm new in the building and I just wanted to introduce myself."

"Oh! Well I'm Elysium." I say holding out my hand. He stares at it with this almost confused look on his face. After about five awkward seconds I pull my hand back. "Um nice to meet you." I say.

"Do you live here alone?" He asks.

"Oh no. My sister and I live here together. Iridium!" She comes running to my side a few seconds later. "Iridium this is Logan, our new neighbor. Logan this is my twin sister Iridium."

"Oh I love your name!" Iridium says. "Like Logan Lermon."

"Who?" Logan asks.

"You know...he played Percy Jackson...?" Iridium explains in a duh tone.

"Percy who?" Logan says clearly confused. Iridium gives me one of those 'where'd you find this guy?' looks. Logan looks from me to Iridium with the same sort of innocent curiosity you'd see in a newborn.

"What are you looking at?" Iridium asks.

"You....you just look the way we expected..." Iridium moves closer to me.

"Um...okay...?" I decide to try and clear the air.

"So Logan wanna stay for dinner? We can order pizza."

"Oh that's so nice of you. Thanks." I smile and lead him in as Iridium shuts the door. Logan follows me to the kitchen.

"So where are you from?" I ask Logan.

"Um...what do you mean?"

"I mean where did you move here from?" I say slowly, not really knowing how to explain it.

"I lived in a...small town. You've probably never heard of it." He says quickly.

"Oh um alright. Well is this your first time in Chicago?"

"Yeah it is actually."

"Cool! We can show you around if you want." At that moment Iridium grabs my hand.

"Twin moment." She tells Logan before pulling me to the side.

"What's up?" I ask. She glances back at Logan.

"Elysium do you really think it's a good idea to hang out with this guy?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well for one thing, everyone knows who Percy Jackson is and he didn't tell you where he was from. He's obviously trying to hide something!"

"Have you been watching Late night Criminal Minds marathons again?" I ask skeptically.

"Actually I forgot to pay the cable bill..."

"Ridi!! Actually, it doesn't matter. What matters is that we have a guest." I tell her, nodding my head at Logan.

"Fine. As long as you don't mind me asking our 'guest' a few questions." She says smirking. I look over at Logan. Just because he didn't know a few things it doesn't mean he's trying to hide anything right?

"You go right ahead." I tell Iridium and we walk back to the table.

"Is everything alright?" Logan asks.

"Everything's perfect!" Iridium says, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "So Logan what state are you from?"

"Um...I didn't pay much attention." Iridium flashes me a grin that says 'I told you so'.

"Okay...who do you live with?" She asks.

"Just my younger brother." Iridium narrows her eyes, but must've accepted this answer.

"Fine one more question. What did you mean when you said 'You look as we expected.'?? Have you been stalking us? Are you a rapist? A kidnapper?"

"No! I'm not here to hurt you I promise."

"Then what are you here for?"

HILO!!!!! Um do you think Logan is weird or just stupid or a stalker? He's obviously evasive about where he's from.... Anyways please vote, comment, and all that. I'll update ASAP.
