Parth wasn't able to sleep the whole night. Reason, his injuries were paining him like hell. It was very difficult to call a peaceful slumber in that condition.
And the biggest irony was.... That he had got a call from arpita asking about his well being. It dered him more when he was forced to lie to his girlfriend. Also, she'd asked him about randhir and his patch up.
Parth made an excuse un order to escape from the mess. People had considered him a villain of sanyukta's life when he was actually helping his best friend. Everyone raised their finger on him, that he'd treated Sanyukta so badly. But they missed to see his bare fir his best friend.
He was actually correct from his side, because he'd seen his best friend die internally for two years. He'd been with randhir in those empty nights full of grief and agony. But everybody failed to see it while in the contrary they easily pinned his rude behavior towards sanyukta.
He'd thought that randhir might have broken up with her. He's moved on since then. But he'd never knew that randhir will consider him the culprit.
Later that night, parth had finally fallen into deep slumber when Randhir had come to see whether he was alright or not. When he entered his ward he found him sleeping peacefully. His face entertaining the emotion of extreme pain and dere.
Randhir came and sat down on the stool beside him. He stared at his sleeping fave and recalled their college time's memories. How they used wake each other up, a smile spreader on randhirs lips watching parth sleep like a baby with his mouth slightly open.
Randhir forwarded his hand to close his mouth. Just then parth opened his eyes to witness him sitting next to him with his hand resting on his Chin.
" what the hell are you doing here ".... Parth looked horrified would be an understatement, he was way more frightened seeing randhir this close to him.
Randhir quickly pulled his hand of and looked everywhere but not him.
R- " woh actually I'd come to see whether you were OK or not but just then "
P- But then what???
R- Then I saw that your mouth was open a little so --
P- so!!!!..... You were trying to close it.
Randhir nodded positively and they bursted into laughter. PaRan were laughing so loudly that a wardboy came in order to silent them. They looked at each other and laughed again buy this time a little slow.
Randhir was feeling contented seeing parth laugh like before. This wasn't the first time they were sharing a moment like this. When PaRan were roommates during college times, randhir had tried to close his mouth quite many times but at last they'd ended up laughing always.
And it felt as if it was one of their best memory rushing to their mind. When reality struck him, Param again behaved as if nothing happened; being perfect formal with each other.
But randhir then thought that it's high time now. For how long are they gonna stay like this. Someday they would surely get normal like before. They were the best friend after all. Correction... Best couple of their college.
R- Kya hum hamesha aese hi rahenge.
P- shayad Haa.
R- So things will never get normal between us???
P- No perhaps. Maine toh Koshish ki thi par mera best friend hi nhi mana.
R- Agar wahi best friend kahe to phir bhi nhi manoge !!!
P- mujhe to koi problem nhi thi... Lekin uski gf ko pasand nhi ayega. And I don't want him to blame me again and again for nothing. He loves her girlfriend more than me. Kya pta phir uske liye usne mujhse fight ki toh!!!
R- he's sorry for his actions... Wo bhi Janta h usne galti ki... Usne sirf apni gf ki baat suni... Apne friend ki nhi. But agar Wo usse maafi mangega to bhi nhi manega kya???
P- Use sochna padega.
Randhir stared at parth. How can he say that he have to think about it. Parth looked at randhir as well and shrugged his shoulder.
R- Saale tujhe time chahiye Sochne K liye. Itni maafi to maine kbhi Apne dad se bhi nhi mangi.
P- Haa to Maine bola kya... Come and apologize. It was your fault and you were ought to ask for an apology. (pause) Jaa kiya maaf.
Randhir stood up and hugged him tightly. He'd known as to how much he'd hurt him. But friendship is the only relationship where you always are forgiven no matter how deep you pain your friends.
" Sach me bohot raat ho gyi h sleep now... You need rest ".... Randhir detached himself from parth and asked him to sleep. Parth insisted him to go in order to freshen up his self but randhir refused.
Soon parth drifted off to sleep while randhir stayed out to catch himself some sleep as well.
