Chapter 7

Quick A/N: Thank you guys so much for almost 100 reads!! Where I live I have an hour in a half before I have to go to bed so I will try to write this chapter as quick and long as I can. Also, I will not be posting a chapter tomorrow so expect 2 chapters on Wednesday!! Anyways, enjoy the story!!

Y/N's POV

I was in the shower about to get out when I heard another shower turn on. 'Must be Jake' I thought. I turned off the water and got out, wrapping a towel around my torso and walking back into my bedroom. I picked out some clothes before putting my hair up in my towel and walking downstairs into the kitchen to get some food. A few minutes later, Jake came up behind me.

"What you eating?" he asked. I jumped a little.

"1st of all, do not scare me like that. Second of all, I am eating a poptart." Jake chuckled and cleared his throat ;).

"Y/N. I need to tell you something." Jake said suddenly. I walked into the living room with Jake behind me. We sat on the couch.

"Yeah?" I said mumbling a little bit because of the food.

"Ever since I picked you up on the street, I thought that it was going to be a mistake. But it wasn't. In the 4 months that I have known you, you have always made me happy. And for being in an orphanage for your whole life, you sure know how to treat someone like family. That's not all though. You are my everything. You are the only family I have in this city. You treat me like a brother. And I just wanted to say I love you. As a sister." Jake said.

You were in tears. Nobody has ever said something so nice to you. Usually it would be yelling and getting shit talked about you behind your back. The only question I have left to answer though was: Did he just put me in the friendzone? I really like him and he doesn't know that but it kind of hurts. I snapped back to reality after Jake hugged me. I cried into his shoulder.

"J-Jake. T-Thank you f-for being s-such a good p-person. I-I love you t-too." I said between sobs. I cried a little bit longer before finally calming down. I was tired after it so I slowly closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep in Jake's arms.

Jake's POV(ohhh)

Y/N fell fast asleep in my arms. I didn't want to wake her so I decided that I was just gonna watch some YouTube on my phone. Then I remembered it's in my room. 'Crap'  I thought. I was pretty tired so I decided to take a nap.

1 Year Later... your POV 

It has been 1 year and 4 months since I met Jake. I loved every moment of it. A couple months ago, I told him how I felt. Surprisingly, he felt the same way about me. So in this exact moment, we were cuddling on the couch eating popcorn and watching IT. 

"Jakeyyy...This is supposed to be a scary movie and it's not scary at all!!" I said.

"It's ok babe. We can watch something different if you want."

"I wanna watch till the end." I said. 45 minutes later, the movie ended. It was kind of sad but not too much.

"What do you want to do?" I asked Jake. He looked at me.

"Cuddle." he replied. I giggled and we continued watching a show on Netflix. Then, we decided to watch the news.

"Good afternoon everybody. My name is Jessica Higgins and welcome to Channel 12 News. Today, weather reports have shown that there will be the biggest rain showers that H/T has seen in almost 20 years. This consists of heavy winds reaching up to 50 mph and very heavy rain fall. We suggest that you prepare for this storm because it's not going to be a very nice one." the reporter said. I looked at Jake.

"God damn it." I said a little annoyed.

"Also, there has been a sign of murder again in H/T. 35 year old Chris Lonski was seen in an alleyway with severe injuries. He was stabbed 34 times in the chest and 10 in the head. He also had a broken neck. Some people say that the murderer is homeless, and wears a black hoodie with ripped jeans and combat boots. They also said that his skin color was brown. Later on today, they found him trying to kill someone in another alleyway along Lake Side Road. The murderer is 40 year old William Tane and he is serving up to 15 years in jail for manslaughter."

"That's terrible." Jake said.

"At least it wasn't one of us." I said shaking a little.

"Now, let's get prepared for this storm." I said.
