After the concert, Liam hurried back to the dressing room.
Laura sighed as she leaned against the column of the bridge again, this time with an oreo in one hand and the pack in the other, “I’ll have to move again…” She said to herself.
Liam stopped as he entered the dressing room, panic ensuing.
Laura stood and tilted the refrigerator box upright, placing her clothes, food, and blanket inside the box, and struggled to hall it down the side of the river. She couldn’t help it, the box stood at least eight inches above her 5’4” frame.
After about five feet she sat the box down with a huff, “This is gonna be tougher then I thought…”
Liam left without a word to others, going to find her.
Laura picked up the box again, carried it another five feet and sat it down again, “This is taking way too much time and energy…”
Liam came to the bridge and stopped, seeing her with the stuff.
Laura groaned loudly as she set the box down once again, leaning her forehead against the box she huffed.
"Hey…"
Laura let out a scream as she spun around, lost her footing, and landed in the shallow water, “L-L-Liam?” She said is surprise as her teat chattered.
He smiled slightly, "Niall wants his food…"
Laura quickly stood and ran through the water away from him, leaving the box, food, and clothes behind.
Liam walked down to the water and got the things.
Laura rushed through the woods as fast as she could, not paying attention to where she was going until she came into a small clearing.
A few moments later an ear piercing scream could be heard by anyone else in the forest.
His head shot up, and he ran quickly towards the scream.
“LIAM,” Laura screamed as she tried to climb a tree without falling, a bear roaring at her as it circled the trunk of the tree, “ANYBODY, HELP!”
Liam came to a stop not far away, eyes wide.
Laura’s face was streaked with tears as she stared down at the bear as she continued to climb. Bad idea. As she climbed a branch snapped from her weight and she screamed as she tried to hold on to another branch so she wouldn’t fall.
Liam looked around for something to help. He spotted some rocks not far away and grabbed them up, beginning to throw them in a direction away from Laura and the tree, in hopes that it would distract the bear.
The bear turned it’s head quickly in the direction of the rocks before quickly running off to see what it was.
Laura clung to the trunk of the tree, too scared to look down to see if the bear had left.
Liam carefully made his way over to her, "Laura, hurry and come down!”
Laura quickly shook her head, “I can’t…” She said through tears, her voice filled with fear.
"Jump! I'll catch you." He called as he held out his arms.
“I can’t,” Laura repeated as she hugged the tree tighter.
"Trust me!”
“How can I trust you?” Laura asked, “I don’t even know you.”
"I don't even know you either, but I'm not about to let you be attacked by a bear! So, please. Just trust that I'll catch you. I don't want you to get hurt!”
