Chapter 1 

Harry's POV: 

I love Maddie. I actually always have. I don't wanna tell her though. All of her friends always says she loves me back, but I don't see it. We do have our moments. The way she plays with my curls and the way she looks into my eyes. Those eyes. I've tried to date other girls, but no ones like her. Anyways, here I am sitting in my bed thinking about her. Like I always do. I want her so bad. You know what? I'm going to tell her. 

Maddies POV: 

My ringtone blasted as it was set on high. Oh my Goddd, I say to myself. It's 3 in the morning. Who would call me now? "Hello", I answered my phone while checking the caller ID. Harry. I wonder why. I've known Harry since we were in 3rd grade, since he lives down the street and all. We were perfect for each other, best friends actually. Everyone teased us about "cooties", but we ignored it. Now, being in 10th grade, it was pretty normal to have a guy best friend, let alone friend. I do have a thing for him, though, always did from the beginning. Those eyes, the curls, and the dimples... So hard to resist, but he thought of me as a best friend, always went out with other girls. I never really minded though, but sometimes I wish he would love me back. He was always on my mind. Memories of us, constantly replaying. Some people said he liked me, but I shrugged it off. 

"Hey Maddie" he said. He sounded scared in a way, not normal though. I've never heard him like this. "Harry, are you ok? What's wrong?" "Can you come over? Please? I have something to tell you,". I sighed,"Harry, is it that important for you to wake me up?!" "Very," he replies. I giggled,"Ok, I'm coming, but if I get caught, I'm blaming you!" I got up, put my hair in a messy bun, and quickly change into long comfy pj pants. I grabbed his hoodie and put it over my shirt, slipped my bunny slippers on, grabbed my keys, and I was out the door. I arrived at his house in 5 minutes and before I could even knock, the door swang open. "What took you so long?" Harry says welcoming me in. "It's cold," I say, "And I'm tired!" He chuckles and takes me up to his room. It's actually pretty clean since the last time you saw it. "So, you were gonna tell me something.. Umm important?"  

Harry's POV: 

Oh my God. I know I shouldn't have done this. I do love her, but I don't know how to tell her. She doesn't love me. What if she starts to hate me?! Crap. What did I do?! I can't make up something, can I? "Yeahhh." My throat got dry. I can't tell her. Not now, never. "Harry?", she sounds really worried. I'm just gonna make up a lie and go with it, "I'm bored and I needed someone to hang out with" I laughed and jumped on my bed, patting a spot next to me for her to sit on. 

Maddies POV: 

Is he ok? Is he gonna tell me or not? "Harry? ask. "Yeah," he manages to choke out. I'm scared now. I really don't know what he's about to say. What if he's moving?! Omg no Maddie shut up and stop. You can't think of life without him. You love him. Your mind stops. Did you just think that? Yes. You do love him, more than anything in the world, as a best friend, and more, but he didn't think that. You sigh. What if he loves me?! Your heart stops. No, thats not it. You wish he loved you, more than ever, and it took you until NOW to realize it. "I was bored and I needed someone to hang out with!" he ends up saying. Really?! He jumped on his bed and patted a spot next to him. "Harryyyyy!" I laughed while jumping next to him, "This was supposed to be important!" He laughs, "It is! Do you want me to die of boredom?" He pats again, but this time on his lap. My heart starts to race. Just act normal, Maddie. I lay my head down on his lap and look up at him. His eyes twinkle. "So what's up?" he asks while smiling, and showing off his dimple. I laugh, "Harry, tomorrow's the last day of school and we have finals. We should go to sleep,". He chuckles and lays down. He pulled me close and we fell asleep.
