ARWEN AWOKE dizzy and weak, her vision was blurry at first but cleared as she sat up. Around her was bits and pieces of the carriage.
The rain had stopped but the clouds were still grey and gloomy, Arwen stumbled as she stood trying to stay on her feet. She saw the men's armor laying around in a charcoal black heap-but no signs of the men. A sick feeling came over her, the memory of her summoning the giant bolt of lightning and the screams filled her head.
Arwen hadn't plan on actually killing the men more less just giving them a good zap to knock them out, 'what have I done...'.
Arwen knew that staying in the area dwelling on her wrongs wasn't going to change them nor make her feel any better about it.

Arwen traveled off of the trail that the carriage was traveling on,
she came to be in a small forest, the evening sun finally revealed itself giving the environment around her an orange-yellow glow.
After Arwen managed to find a few nonpoisonous berries she took a break and sat down to rest against a tree. Birds chirped above her head in lovely songs.
There didn't seem to be any predators out and about as deer went by in a graceful manner.
But as Arwen watched them there was one deer in particular that caught her eye.
It came around when all of the other deer were gone-it was a buck with strangely curved antlers on his head.
Arwen could've sworn that its fur shimmered with a golden color when touched by the sun-he almost didn't look...real to her eyes.
Arwen stood slowly she still had one berry left, the buck however quickly spotted her-Arwen froze when its gaze met her's.
Long moments passed before the buck actually came up to her, instead of running away.
He kept his head up high in a graceful manner, Arwen's heart was pounding as it came inches away from her. Her hand shook vigorously as she offered the berry to him. The deer flicked his ear and sniffs the berry, his warm breaths grazed her hand in a odd way.
But the buck doesn't accept the berry, in a swift maneuver it turns and takes off disappearing into the forest as if he was never there.
Arwen tried to track the deer down, sure there were lots of strange creatures out in the world but Arwen's never seen a deer like that before-even in books.
When nightfall came however she gave up trying to find the deer, she decided to try and get some sleep instead.
But she was haunted by nightmares throughout the night that prevented her from getting a good night's sleep.

The morning came but Arwen didn't feel at all enthused about it, she slept under the same tree she was under when she had spotted the strange buck.
She sighed recalling the dream she had before she awoke to the devastation she had caused.
The dream was when she was younger only eight-when Creus had taken her into his mentoring hands.
Arwen couldn't stand him at first-she couldn't comprehend his kindness towards her when everyone in her old village treated her as if her magic was a curse to them.
Arwen had escaped her prison when she became fully aware of the power she could muster up-she used it to bust out of her cell one night and managed to runaway.
Arwen was just a mere child then who'd never been out on her own in the wild-it was only by luck that friends of Creus found her in the forest next to their village.
Arwen didn't understand why her magic didn't affect them-or scare them for that matter until she learned that they too were mages.
Arwen was unsure if she would return to her village when there was clearly nothing there-the men hand invaded them unexpectedly killing most of them.
Arwen would just be plagued by the memories if she'd go back.
But she wasn't sure where she'd go from here on-mages aren't very welcomed among the Kingdoms and villages Creus had taught her that.
He couldn't seem to understand how a mage like her ended up in a village within the kingdom lands.
Arwen got up to go looking for breakfast for a start. She wondered the forest until she found some more berries-deep down she knew she couldn't just live off of berries and that she would have to start hunting for meat ...eventually.
"When you kill a creature of nature such as deer or goats or even cows-you kill then for the sole purpose of food. Bucks with the biggest antlers aren't meant to be killed solely for their prized antlers" Creus once told her.
It was when Creus was teaching her about how to balance nature to control her powers-this was however much harder for her than it was for Creus for he was a very skilled and relaxed geomancer while she was an untrained electromancer.
Creus and her had camped out in the wilderness for a whole month
Arwen refused his words most of the time though and did what she thought would work.
But nature always seemed to prove her wrong.
But Arwen was much more mature now than from back then-she understood the very basics of nature.
As she traveled through the forest a bit more she heard the distant sounds of whinnies not too far from her.
A few moments later she came out into an open meadow with lush green grass dotted with pretty white flowers, she heard the whinnies again this time more clearly.
She looked out to the meadow 'are there horses near by?'
The grass came up to her knees as she pushed through it, there down hill of her was a group of white equines-with wings!
These were no horses but pegasuses it seemed to be a small band of them too all solid white.
Arwen watched them in awe as they grazed peacefully close together-there were a few mares with foals.
Arwen wanted to go up to them and touched them-but she knew better than to mess with any wild equines, pegasuses were known to stomp those who'd dare come near it threateningly.
They were mostly known for flying away however-like birds sworn never to be caught by humans.
Arwen watched the foals try to lift off the ground, their wings weren't quite strong enough yet though.
Arwen watched them a bit longer before she reluctantly continued on, she found herself going through thick woods.
She had to duck under low tree branches that dangled dangerously low.
When Arwen rounds a tree something suddenly rams into her-with an "oof!" She tumbles to the ground.
Arwen felt something sniffing her face-afraid it might be a predator she stiffened.
Arwen cautiously opened one of her eyes to see that the thing inspecting her was no predator-but the elegant deer she had seen yesterday.
The buck stood over her now looking down at her with intelligent dark eyes, "you..." Arwen gasped.
A loud whinny filled the air silencing the birds around them, the buck instantly took off running, Arwen got to feet and started to go after him-but something made her think otherwise.
