Chapter Eight

As Luke and I hugged. We heard the sirens. Next thing we know the police are asking us if we've seen Nick lately.

"We saw him about an hour or two ago," Luke said clenching his teeth, with his voice full of anger. The police left and as soon as they did Luke made a threat. . .the thing was. . .it wasn't a threat, it was a promise.

"I swear the next time I see that asshole he's going to die. At least if I catch him for the police. In fact before I turn him in. He's going to pay the price for trying to hurt you," Luke threatened yet promised.

"We'll have to catch him first," I sneered.

"Don't worry, we will," Luke had that look in his eye that showed he was staying with what he said.

"Where's the rest of the group?" I asked trying to change the subject as quickly as possible. The truth is I hate what Nick done but I don't want to deal with him right now. I'm here and I want to enjoy while he's not here.

"They're at the house. Wanna head home?"

"Yes."

Yes. Thanks! Hopefully Harry is calmed  down. Probably not, but it wouldn't hurt to believe that he might.

"Luke! Ashton! Hello!" Louis screamed at Luke and I. I exchanged a look with Luke and he shot the same one back.

"Is he okay?" I asked.

"I have no clue," Harry said through his hands, his head was in them.

"What do you mean you don't know?" Luke asked very concerned.

"We said we don't know," Michael repeated.

"He's been this way since the day he blacked out," Naill said a bit annoyed.

"He was fine when he woke up right?" I looked at Liam.

"Hint word; was. We don't know what happened now," Liam said. Looking at everyone's faces they all seemed stressed out. I understood why. I mean Nick ties Louis and I to bombs that'll go off if touched, Louis is in some kind of hyper trance. I mean I know he's always hyper but never in this way. It's starting to make me worry as with the rest.

"You okay, Ashton? We've been calling your name," Calum waved his hand across my face.

"Yeah. Just thinking," I said not making eye contact.

"What were you think about?" Zayn asked, now talking for the first time since Luke and I walked in.

"Everything that's happened in the past few days –" I lied but never finished it.  What interrupted me was my phone ringing

"Hello?" I answered.

"Is this Ashton Irwin or Louis Tomlinson?" the voice asked.

"Yeah. This is Ashton Irwin. May I help you?"

"Yeah. I got information about Nick. Want know what it is?"
