Just as I'm about to open the door, Ms. Hart says "You know the rules girls." as she pointed to the door. Ava and I walk to detention dreading every step we take towards the school's hellhole. For the three years I've been in this school, I've never gone to detention or even peeked inside. I heard its haunted in there and who wants to go to a haunted room with a whole bunch of idiotic kids on top of it.
"I mean it could be worse." Ava said lifting her shoulders. "At least we're going together." she continued.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. It would've been so much worse if I was walking in there alone." I told her.
"The only problem is that we'll have to inhale the same air as the delinquents." she said with a cringe.

We finally get there from what seemed like forever and the detention teacher greeted us with a "Sit down, don't move, and be quiet." But of course the class was no where near quiet.
I scanned the room to see what seat has the less people around it but all I saw or should I say who I saw, changed my mood to an even more annoyed state of being. Yup the one and only Ethan Tyler with his posse including Eric, Danny, Zach, and my brother Xavier. My brother had his back to me so he didn't know I was there. I speed walk to him and slapped his head.
"WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" he screamed.
"What are you doing here dumbass?!" I asked him. "You told dad you weren't in detention anymore!" I continued.
"Cynthia, let me tell you something that might help you in life, PEOPLE LIE!"
"Let me tell you something, Xavier, if you keep on, it won't help you in life!" I said as I mocked his tone.
He rolled his eyes and turned back around. I look up and saw Ethan, who was smirking at me while seated on top of a desk. Now I rolled my eyes and sat down away from them with Ava by my side.
"Ugh can you believe him. I'm definitely telling my dad today." I told Ava as I looked at the boys laughing.
"No don't do that he probably won't do it again." she said.
"What do you mean? Ava, it's my brother we're talking about." I told her lifting a brow. This girl cannot be serious.
"Yeah, just give him a second chance." It kinda looks like she cares for him. I see it in her eyes! Oh no this is bad, this is really bad. She likes my brother, my brother Xavier, my nasty, bad influence of a brother. XAVIER!
"Oh no! You like Xavier! Don't you?" I asked louder than expected. The whole class looked at me including my brother.
"Uh...no, No I don't, I really don't." she said trying to convince Xavier more than me.
All my brother did was look up and smile at Ava, knowing she was trying to hard to get her point across. Oh great now he knows she likes him and I can't have him breaking her heart. This is gonna be the biggest mess ever.
She sits back down once the class goes back to normal, with red cheeks and says "I can't believe that just happened."
"I'm sorry for saying it so loud, but girl how can you like my brother and not tell me?" I asked her.
