THE BLAME GAME

Its been two days since the festival and Angelina hasn't seen Hunter since then. Angelina came down to food on the table but everyone was gone. She ate and cleaned up then went to school. She walked along the same rode shes walked along a thousand times but this time it was quiet and still. No birds were singing and that made Angelina uneasy about it. She kept on her toes waiting for something to happen. Angelina heard a small noise in the bush next to her. She jumped to face it. She was ready to fight and take down whatever it was. The noise got louder and louder until a small puppy jumped out and sat wagging his tail. "Oh, man I can't believe this little puppy scared me soo much" Angelina walked to the puppy and picked it up holding the little puppy laughing. The puppy was brown and black it was six weeks old about and had a big dopey head. Angelina put the dog down and started to walk away but the puppy followed right behind her wagging his tail. After a few miles, Angelina stopped and looked down at the puppy "are you going to follow me all day" the puppy just barked happily. Angelina smiled and gave in to the cute puppy. "Well, you have to have a name," she thought. "How about Heden". Angelina crochet down to meet the puppies gaze. The puppy barked jumping up and down wagging its tail. "oh no we're going to be late let's go" Angelina started running with Heden right behind her struggling to keep up. She finally made it to school and to her first class. As soon as she walked in everyone looked at her in shock like she just won a prize. "Dang girly. How did you end with a shape-shifting dog ( a shape-shifting dog is a dog that can turn into any animal. Head knights use them) he's just a puppy too. Man, you lucked out". Luke studied the puppy from his wall. "What? This is a shape-shifting dog?" Angelina looked at the sweet puppy in horror. Shape-shifting dogs known to kill their masters if they are unfit to lead them. "Tell it to change into a bear" Luke jumped off the wall. Luke moved to Angelina's side hoping not to be in the path of the shape-shifting dog. "Heden change into a bear" just then the small puppy trance formed into a cub. Brown and fuzzy he looked up at Angelina in approval. "He's still a puppy so all the animals will turn out as babies" Luke was on the floor looking at every angle "how did you get one did you kill the pack or maybe you killed the master".  "No I just found it in the woods and it started to follow me" Luke moved his hand close to Heden trying to feel the fur of a cub. Heden snapped like a shark in the water. Luke jumped behind Angelina stopping the tyrant puppy "well that's unusual. Usually, they stay with there families and masters for life. So either they died, but that's not likely because shape-shifting dogs only go with the strongest master and the families are too powerful be taken down". Luke moved in front of  Angelina and raised an eyebrow "or someone in that forest gave you this dog. That's why this puppy is with you because its master told him to stay with you. The question is who gave you the dog?" Luke took out pictures from his pocket of every boy in the group to see how the dog would react and every picture the dog was happy like he knew all of them. "Strange very strange" Luke put the pictures away before the teacher walked in. The teacher saw the puppy and went straight for her and her puppy "how did you get a shape-shifting dog". he moved so close she could smell his breath, it smelled of meat and unwashed teeth. " I just found it in the woods and he followed me here sir" Angelina had a hard time not gagging. The teacher pulled Luke away and he told him everything he thought. The teacher must have said something to him cause for the rest of the class it was "where did you find this dog?". or the mane one "how did a girl like you get one?". Angelina walked to her second class with Heden right behind her. She walked in to see no Hunter or Grace in the class. Now that she thinks about it she didn't see Hunter or Grace in there first class. All eyes were on her, their eyes piercing her skin, making her heart race. She walked to her desk next to Jacob. "so you have a gorky owner and a gorky dog. Just look at his face" Jacob didn't seem too interested in the dog but he was mad about something. "what are you mad about"Angelina took her seat. Jacob sat up and looked at Angelina in impressed but with annoyed eyes "how did you know I was mad". "Cause you to do the same thing my father did make fun of me and my things" Angelina gave Heden a bone she found in her bag. She thought it was strange that there was a bone in her bag. It was as someone knew that she was going to have a shape-shifting dog and gave her the bone to help. " I guess you're not as dumb as you look" Jacob laid back down in his desk oblivious to the world around him.
