Never be Alone - TheFatRat

~Jessica's POV~

I quickly jump back to the best of my abilities, completely regretting my actions.

"Oh my god, I'm sorry, I—," I stutter. "You were—, I didn't—, ugh," I hear a crashing coming from inside the hangar and turn my head to see sparks flying out of the other gate. "We gotta stop him," I try to get up but fall back to the ground, weakened by my healing Ironhide.

"You're not getting up," Hide says quietly. I summon Keiko and Teagan to guard us, seeing as at the moment neither one of us have the ability to protect ourselves. I lay flat on the ground and cushion my head with my arm. "That was foolish."

"You could've died!" I yell in response. "What would Optimus have done without you?" A small smirk comes to my face as I say this.

"What would you have done without me?" He asks causing my smirk to break into a smile that quickly disappears as cannon fire and explosions sound off.

"We have to get up," I say as I shakily push myself up to my knees. I fall forward but before I hit the concrete under me, Hide's holoform catches me.

"Stop it," he says quietly.

"Stop saying that," I try to get to my feet again.

"Sentinel is gone," Hide tells me.

"Then we'll find him," I say as I continue my fruitless struggle.

"We will rejoin the battle tomorrow," he says seriously.

"You don't think I can get on my feet?" I ask.

"I need you to help me back on mine," a short moment of silence passes.

"There's still more pieces all over the place," I say as I scan the area, spotting all the black painted shards of metal covering the ground. "I, I can—."

"No," Hide says. "I have been worse."

"Yeah, ten seconds ago is a good fuckin example. Never again. Ever," I say. "That's never happening again. Not on my watch."

"So you won't be leaving again?" He asks.

"I've learned enough over there. I'm staying home for a while," I smile lightly.
