3. Baby

I am now seven months old. As day passed by, waking up in the room greeted by the same yellow light of a chandelier. At first I refuse the idea but now I had accepted that I was reincarnated as a baby. Though as I had a mentallity of a 21 year-old woman having me feed through breastfeeding is just... so awkward, thinking that my mother has a bigger breast than mine in my previous life.

Being called Ember by the maids and the woman named Aria I finally understand that it is my name in this world, Ember Raven. I thought it was just a coincidence that my name is similar to one of the characters in an otome game that I had created in my previous life. Seriously, who would have thought that one can be reincarnated in an otome game. Huh? Reincarnation is not a very nice thing that could happen to a person especially if you got yourself reincarnated into an otome game where magic exist.

If I remember it correctly Ember Raven is a villainess and one of the love rival... She was considered love rival not because she likes one of the capture target but because of her brother, Aster. Aster is her four years older brother and one of the capture targets, Ember became an obstacle and one of the love rival because Aster is a big siscon.

Being the only daugher and having a doting parents and brother she grew spoiled. She has no sense when it comes to the value of money. Albeit she loves attention she has no interest with neither men nor women, she just love herself more than anyone else. She is also known for her sarcastic remarks that even nobles with her age are afraid of.

Well, let's move on about the magics in this world. I did not put much effort with the attributes, so it is just the main elements earth, water, fire, air, light and dark with the sub-elements, ice, lightning, steel/metal, shadow then Alchemy.

I should have fire attribute for Ember had the affinity to fire in the game.

Though I don't know if it's possible for me to control magic with this body, considering I was just seven months old baby currently I do not know if this body can manage to hold such power. Well, I'll just see to it.

First, feel the magic essence or mana on the surrounding. Hmm, this is not so easy... I concentrated my mind and try to feel everything, then after awhile I felt something warm and saw light orbs with various colors surrounding me. Is it just me or it's just too easy to feel the magic essences? Well let's just think it's the latter.

Let's move on. The second step is to feel it's flow then gather some mana to your body. Let's see, I tried touching one red light orb, feeling it's warmth in my hand then absorbing it. I didn't know how did I absorbed it but I felt it's warm in my chest spreading all over my body. Hmm, it felt great, and the next thing I knew I was absorbing every mana in my surrounding. Ahh, this feeling.. so refreshing..

Everyone has a core inside their body where they can store the mana they absorbed from their surrounding called Mana Pool. It differs in size depending on the being. The larger the mana pool the greater your power is.

Well, where were we again. Hmm. Ah the last step to cast magic. You just need to imagine it to materialize.

In this world they use chants and magic circles to strengthen their magic and the chants is in a japanese language which did not exist in this world, rather this language is unknown in this world. That is why beings in this world can't use the full potential of magic for they didn't know that the incantations was actually a language. They also use chantless magic but it requires a lot amount of mana, well it also depends on their mana pool. The imagination also play a great part on casting. This is what they lack, the imagination. Of course you need to imagine it for it to materialize after all the incantations and magic circles are just a command and support to strengthen the casting. Because casters in this world didn't know the incantations they chant, they lack in imagination resulting the casted magic weaker.

Hehe, because I was a japanese it is understood that I am fluent in japanese language so I don't have a problem with the casting.

Eh? I did not hear someone saying something like a cheat.

Okay let's do it. I imagine a ball of fire materialized in my palm. Poof! As the fire materialized in my palm a window appeared infront of my face.
