I should tell you a secret.
Do you know that Lisa and I were childhood friends? Obviously, she's my neighbor and neighbor kids play with each other.

We go out every morning to play at the park, or ride a bike or just play video games at my house. As a kid, Lisa loves to read books she always bring one when we tend to play at the park's tree house.

She always read it out loud for me to hear the whole story of that book she brought and I end up falling asleep beside her.

Everything felt nice when I'm with her. But then we grew up and we spend less time with each other until one day, highschool came and we stop talking.

I open the lights of my room as I throw my bag pack on my bedroom's sofa. I closed the door and went to dropped my exhausted body on my soft comfortable bed.

I let out a deep sighed and snuggled a pillow. I just came home from my part time job and haven't eaten dinner yet. Though I don't have the appetite to do so, for I was feeling so drowsy from tiredness.

I was so close to reach dreamland when I heard a knock coming from my window. I groaned and irritatedly pulled out a pillow and put it on the side of my face to blocked any sounds that disturbing my lovely sleep.

I let out a satisfied smile then close my eyes again, as I went back to sleepー I heard a knock again and this time, it was louder, more persistent and more irritating.
I sat up as I groaned loudly, I went to my window and search for the culprit who's disturbing my sleep.

I was so tired and I'm willing to beat someone right nowー joke! That was a joke. My eyes went wide when I saw the person who's behind the contagious irritating knock sounds.

"Hey, what are you doing? Are you free tonight?"
She asked. Her long blonde locks were hidden at her oversized black hoody. She's wearing an innocent smile and eyes were twinkling. Her ripped black jeans had perfectly matched with her outfit and brown timberlands.

"I was about to sleepー"

"Oh! So you're free for tonight then."

"Urgh?"
I rubbed my nape and confusedly look at her. I told you, she's weird.

"Wanna spend the night with me?"
She wiggled her eyebrows and I eyed her, totally baffled from the sudden weird act of my neighbor-slash-popular girl-slash-crush.

"Come on! It would be fun!"
She took a step forward and reached for my wrist as she forced to pull me out from my window.

"Okay! Okay! Calm down, woman!"
I take off her hand at my wrist then I ran over to my closet to find a jacket and then I slowly jumped out from my window.

"So? What now?"
I asked her. Lisa Manoban, that's her full name. They moved in the neighborhood when I was eight, she's been beautiful ever since.

And taking a close look of her now, Lisa Manoban grew more beautiful. If that's even possible.

"Do you drive a car? Or do you have one?"
Her eyes were looking at the surroundings and I blinked. Why is she acting this way? I know that she's kinda weird sometimes but I don't think she'll go to this point.

"We're still minors, Lisa. What do you expect?"

"Silly, we're 18 and it's legal. Jimin has one."

"Really? Then go to Jimin, not me."
She shifted her attention at me, her brows furrowing and forehead creasing as she looked at me with those amused eyes.

"Right. I'm sorry."
She said nodding, like she understand something that I don't.

"I will drive and let's have your father's car!"
My eyes went wide, bewildered from what she said. I thought she understand already?

Lisa moved an inch forward as she hold me then pushed me back inside my window.

"Hurry and get the keys!"
Again. I take off her hands and turned my head to her. She is smiling widely, like a kid who's excited for her birthday party.

"Do you know what time is it?!"
I hissed.

"It's 10:30, something?"

"Exactly. It's late."

"So?"

"We still have school for tomorrow."

"Are you seriously worried about that?"
She laughed.

"No! I was worried to get caught of my dad, because apparently he's still awake as of now."
Lisa inched back and blinked twice at me. She pursed her lips into a thin line and I watched her thinking.

"You're so grumpy! You should loosen up! Let's take my mom's petunia instead."
She grabbed me and this time I didn't take off her hand. I let her pull me away from my house.

"Petunia?"

"Oh, that's the name of my mom's precious old car."
She glance at me and gave me this small smile again. I looked at her, astonished.

"Wait here while I'll get the key."
She instruct me and I can only nod at her. As I look around their front yard, memories of our childhood started to flashback inside of my mind.

I can still hear us laughing and shouting each others name as we play wooden swords while wearing crowns and carton armor.

Lisa was not the typical girl kid that loves to be a princess when we were kids. She's the girl who's willing to be a knight and fight with dragons instead of being a damsel in distress.

I remember asking her back then,
"Why would you want to be a knight when girls are fighting to be a princess?"
She gave me a warm smile then look at her mom who's washing plates at their kitchen.

"Because I admire their bravery when it comes to battles."
I stared at her that time while she's explaining everything to me. They were a-dazzle with wonder over that tender smile.

"My mom also tell me that we are knights in our own little life and this world is our battlefield."

"So why would I want to be a princess when I was born to be a knight, Kookie?"
The nine year old Lisa giggled.

I was back from my trance of thoughts when I heard footsteps coming to my way. I looked at my back and saw Lisa waving the car key on her hand.

I shake my head as a smile slowly appeared at my lips.
