Elizabeth's pov

Here I am, sitting in a boring music shop as always, well, it's fun, just lonely.
This is my after school job I had to take, because of the very being of my existence, my father, who is a very controlling person.
I started working here about a year ago, and so far, only old people or young adults come in here. I was slightly surprised no teenagers or kids came in here, but I guess this generation mostly relies on their phones.
I am just a 17 year old, and I only use my phone for emergencies, like reading fan fiction, or calling the police. . .

The only highlight of my day was getting to see my friend Rufio, who I've known since we were in pre-k.
You know when you like someone, but they only see you as a friend? That's my situation. I do really love him, and I would do anything for him, all I really want for him is to be happy, but I know I will never get this feeling from another boy, ever.

He makes me happy, sad, and all around just crazy. I fell in love with his small imperfections. I truly love him for who he is, but I knew he would never like me the way I like him.
At school, and around the neighborhood, he's known as a player, because he usually dates any girl he sees, except for me. He always gives me the line, "your my number one girl," but I'm sure he uses it on every other girl he had dated before.

It breaks my heart knowing he only thought of me as one of the guys, but it was either this, or I was going to get my heart broken by not speaking to him because of the awkwardness of confessing.

My thoughts were then interrupted by the sound of the bell on top of the door. It always made a shrill and annoying sound that made me just about jump and yell at the sound of it.
I calmed down once I noticed it was Rufio. I smiled to him happily, getting up from my leaning position on the counter I worked at.

Rufio POV

Today was the day, the day I finally confess to Elizabeth.
I know it's way over do, but I never really knew her feelings for me, it was always hard to tell what she was thinking about, but I knew when she was troubled.
Of course, I had to find out about her feelings from her little brother, Jack, who mainly just yelled at me for making his sister cry, which I was extremely upset about.
