Personally, if Aarrrgh didn't died, then Jim would have no reason to go the Darklands alone in the first place. He probably would've have gone along with the rest of the gang as plan to save Enrique. That probably would've change the whole plot now right? I mean, they would all be together, Gunmar would've probably never find them, and let alone capture Jim.
Let alone that, I'd say that I'm glad the plot turned out the way it did. I just wish the episodes were longer!
