Demon Wolf

The need to get away from them as far and as fast possible is pulsing throughout my body as I ran, I tried to ignore the pain from my mate's rejection but that's an impossible task to do but that did not stop me from running. The pain will subside, I told myself that. The invisible strings from my pack that's keeping me tied to them is slowly fading away, one by one cutting my connection to them releasing both me and my wolf from them. I will be free of them and I will never go back.

I keep on  running for the whole night 'till the sun rise and that whole day, I still did not stop when the sun started sinking on the horizon. I keep on running even when my paws hurt I still pushed myself to ran. I need to be as far as I can be so I just ran, my strength and stamina surprised me because I was forbidden to shift back at there so this is my first time shifting again and I did not know that I'll last this long, I also have no idea what happened to me after I tried to kill myself but ever since I did that and I recovered surprisingly with his help I have this strange power inside me and maybe that's what helped continue this far. 

When I couldn't ran anymore, I let my body collapse on the ground, fatigue finally catching up to time and I fell asleep in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by cold and darkness.

 A boom of thunder jolted me awake and I instantly sprang to me feet, stance ready to pounce and attack, my muscles screamed in protest at my sudden movement but I focused my attention in the dark forest surrounding me looking for any threats. I observed my surroundings and  calmed when I mind registered that it was just a thunder, rain fallowed not long after that. I ignored the rain that soaked my dark fur and started walking, pain and hunger slowing me down and making me weak, I can't even shift back in my human form. I don't know how long I was out but it's still dark so finding food will be hard no, harder as the rain poured down on me harder, wind blew harshly and I shivered. I continued on walking but stayed alert for any danger lurking in the dark and for a possible food to find. I sighed and decided to hunt tomorrow and just sleep for now to regain even a little of my strength back. I look for a more comfortable place to lay down and found a large root of a tree. That should do for now. I decided and went there to sleep again. 

The faint sound of hopping stirred me from my sleep, I opened my eyes feeling completely groggy as I tried to look for the source of the sound through the heavy fog but it was impossible to see anything. My body screamed in protest when I moved from my current position. I let out a pained whine and shifted on my human form in the most excruciating way.  

I was breathing heavily by the time I finish shifting, my body slumped on the ground and even the slightest move made my body jolt in pain. Tears were already running down my face as I move my dirty body to lean on the tree. My hands and feet are both wounded and bloody, and the wound on my chest opened up again, blood oozing out from it, every intake of breath made it painful. My vision blurred maybe from the blood loss or hunger maybe from fatigue, I don't know. I can't think straight. I tried to scream for help but I can't find my voice. Not that there would be anyone around here. I tried to stay awake but I'm already losing the battle between staying conscious and not. The blur of brown is the last thing I saw before everything went black.

Everybody stared at the window she jumped at, nobody moved too stunned on what just happened. 

 That is, until Xavier fell on his knees and screamed in pain. Morgan gasped and immediately crouched beside him and grasped his arm and was about to ask him what was wrong but she was thrown at the other side of the room and fell unconscious. The Alpha instantly commanded everyone to get out of the room. Mitch carried his sister outside, Xavier's friends followed the Alpha's order with a bow, but it was Axel who remained. The Alpha glared at the young man but said nothing as he stalked out of the room followed by the Luna who closed the door gently on her way out. Axel look down on his friend's state and shook his head. "She left Xav." he said to his friend "she finally left" he added which was responded by a growl. He held out a hand to his friend but Xavier slapped his hand away and rose on his own, he staggered on his steps as he walked towards the door. 

"So you're just gonna leave." Axel scoffed from behind him. He ignored his friend "Do you even know what happened to her?" He stop dead on his tracks, he did not say anything nor look back at his friend as he waited for him to speak again. Axel watched his friend he knew that he's waiting for him to speak again but he's not gonna do that. Not until Xavier face him. 

Both stood inside the room quietly, no one said a word for a long time until Xavier sighed and reached for the handle. "You see that mark on the door?" Axel asked again and he froze, his eyes scanned the old oak door and found the dark smudges just below the handle. His body visibly stiffened as his hand traced the mark. "You know what that was right?" Axel said. "Blood." He answered as he stood motionless staring at spot.

An unseen presence inside the room glared at the two men before disappearing taking something with it.

3 days had passed since she left and Xavier was nowhere to be found. He disappeared after he left that room and hasn't been seen since. Everybody was looking for him but he left with no trace so they concluded that he went looking for her.

Mitch went to her room and burned all her stuff.

Morgan locked herself inside her room.

Axel continued with his duties.

The others go on with their normal lives some still unaware what happened at the night of the failed succession.

That night, when everyone's having dinner with a tense atmosphere one of the guards on patrol barged inside the pack house. He was breathing heavily, claw marks on his bleeding chest as he stared at the Alpha and said one word. 

"Rogues" 

The Alpha stood up from his seat ready to battle but another two guards arrived supporting the bloodied Xavier.

She was lying on the ground barely breathing as Leean picked her up and carried her towards the group. "She needs help." He said to the group looking down at her body that he covered with his shirt. "Are you sure this is her?" Aklan asked him. "Yes" he snapped and walked towards their car. "now let's go" he said after he placed her on the backseat carefully. Aklan followed him wordlessly and they drove away with the others behind them informing everyone that they have found her.
