Up In Flames (A Jayy Von Monroe Love Story)

Introduction/background

Author’s note: There is a song actually called “Up In Flames” but it is not by BOTDF, it’s by the band Icon For Hire. This song means a lot to me and it’s about being yourself. It basically says, “Hey you don’t know who I am or what I’ve been through. You don’t run my life.” If you do not know this song or this band then I highly recommend you look up their music.

 Some of the things in my story are facts, the rest is fake. Most of the introduction is true; about him being bullied when he was in school. The rest of the characters, besides Dahvie and sally, are made up. There may be someone out there with the same names that I chose that know Dahvie and Jayy well, that does not mean they are the same people. After all, it IS fanfiction so don’t read into it TOO much. But have fun and I hope you enjoy my story ;) Leave me a comment or inbox me if you want. Jayy’s P.O.V

            We have all been there, I have. I’ve probably had it the worst; not saying that Dahvie hasn’t had it bad too. The constant name-calling and torture every day from those people around you, being lonely most of the time, really having no one or just one person to turn to in your time of need just to keep you from ending your life. Yet for some reason you don’t, you wait. That’s what I did and now I couldn’t be happier that I decided to put the knife down and try to gain some hope. I had to get to school 20 minutes late every day and leave 20 minutes early just so none of the other kids would see me. They had bullied me so badly before that my mom pulled me out of school for a few years. Even the teachers had joined in on their rage. When I started school again after being home schooled for so long it was tough, a living nightmare. I got expelled a week or two after starting for wearing makeup. This is a cruel world and you just need to fight through it.

That was the story of my childhood. Now I have the best friend in the world, his name is Dahvie Vanity. He is there for me like a brother through thick and thin and I love him for that. I couldn’t ever possibly thank him enough for it either. We are starting our first Warped Tour soon and I can’t wait to go out and meet all of the amazing fans.
