Author's note: Okay so I litterally stayed up 2 extra hours last night typing this out so please comment and let me know what you think. Things will heat up in the third chapter which I'm working on right now. Two new characters are introduced in this chapter. Monica from the description (pictured to the right) and Sally who is their merch girl that most people know. I hope you like this story. Sorry it's a bit long. Or do you guys like longer chapters? Comment and let me know. Do you like this chapter? Do you hate it? Why? Let me know. Enjoy<3

Jayy’s P.O.V

“Jayy, get up. We have to go get on the plane now.” Dahvie then left my room so I could get up, change, and get my stuff. I really didn’t want to wear my pajama pants in the airport and on the plane. I changed into my black leather skinny jeans, and a blue tank top. I gathered up my suite cases and followed Dahvie to the airport.

My stuff was a lot heavier than I remembered. We got on the plane and took our seats. The only good thing about flying was that we had first class seats. “Hey, do you know when Monica will get on the plane?” I asked Dahvie. Monica was my best friend from my childhood and our newest merch girl along with Sally. “Well Sally went and picked up Monica this morning before we got on the bus so who knows when they’ll get here; knowing sally, always being late to things.” That’s strange that I didn’t even notice if we had Sally on the bus with us or not. “Well they need to get here soon because I miss my Monica”, I whined.

Just a few seconds after saying that here came Sally with Monica directly behind her. “Monica!” I screamed and jumped up to give her a tackle hug but she had her hands too full. “Oh here, I’ll help you.” I grabbed her things and started putting them in the overhead storage space beside where I had mine and Dahvie’s. “Thanks.” Monica said with a shy smile. “You’re welcome. But now that your hands are free, hug me!” Monica laughed and gave me a huge hug and then went to hug Dahvie.  Sally and Monica had seats across from us. “Hey, why don’t you and Sally trade places?” Monica asked me. We did have a lot of catching up to do. “Yea sure. Sally, move you’re skanky ass over there.” Sally looked hurt and playfully hit my arm as she walked by. “I hope that hurt. You’re always so mean to me.” “Sally, I’m never mean to you, I’m just factual.” I gave her a wink to let her know I was kidding and went to take my new seat beside Monica.

“Monica, the next time we aren’t on tour, you’re living with us. End of story. I missed you too much.” “Well Jayy I already feel like I get in the way sometimes, I didn’t want to be a bother.” Monica looked down at the ground as if thinking about something important. “No Monica you’re never a bother. You’re just as much as family to Dahvie as you are to me.” “Awe. Well thanks Jayy. You look amazing by the way.” “Thanks, so do you Monica, really. I’m loving the white hair and, is that gray around your bangs?” “Ha, yea it’s gray. It used to be black but somehow it faded.” “Well then at some point you have to let me and Dahvie play with your hair.” I gave her an evil smile and she started to look scared. “No! I don’t want to be bald! I like the length of my hair; it’s taken forever to grow it out.” Dahvie and Sally turned around and gave us really weird looks when she practically yelled this. “Our little Monica isn’t so shy any more is she?” She blushed at Dahvie’s statement and then said, “Sally! Jayy is going to cut my hair! Please protect me at night.” “I don’t know. What would I get out of it?” Sally asked while eyeing Monica’s necklace. “I’ll make you a necklace like mine if that’s what you want Sally.” “Deal.”

Monica seemed pleased so she turned back around to face me. “So Jayy how’s the love life?” “Ugh I wish you wouldn’t have asked that question.” “Why what’s wrong?” Concern flashed through Monica’s face. “Well we had this huge party last night. There was one guy there that I didn’t recognize, but he was absolutely gorgeous. We sat down and started talking and he seemed pretty cool; I think. I drank so much last night I don’t even remember what all we talked about. I just remember his name and that this morning I can’t stop thinking about him and I miss him. But it’s kind of pointless, right? I mean what if I never see him again?” Monica sat there listening to my sappy story. One that I hadn’t even told Dahvie yet. “Well Jayy, you have to remember that you’re about to go on warped tour. You might see him there and if you do then you can point him out to me and I’ll invite him backstage so that you two can talk together alone. What was his name though?” “Um I believe his name was Carter.” “Okay well we will look for him together at Warped. I’m sure we’ll find him.” Monica’s words had cheered me up once again. Something Dahvie couldn’t have done. Monica always knows the right things to say and cheer me up. “Okay well I’m exhausted so I’m going to take a nap. Please don’t mess with my hair while I’m sleeping.” “Okay I won’t”, I assured her.

She got a pillow from the flight attendant and put it on my lap. She then laid down with her head resting in my lap. “Just like when we were kids.” I said quietly down to her. She smiled up at me and closed her eyes. I started stroking her hair out of her face and she fell asleep fast. That always put her to sleep and kept her from having bad dreams.

We landed in Glendale, Arizona where we would be joining in on Warped Tour. The flight only took about an hour and a half or so because Arizona isn’t that far from California where I and Dahvie were now living. “Monie. You need to get up now, we just landed.” She loved it when I still called her by the nickname I gave her when we were younger. She gave a sleepy smile and sat up. “Where are we?” She asked groggily. “Arizona, silly. You know, the destination of our flight?” She slapped my arm and said, “I forgot, don’t hassle me.” “Wow you really are still tired.” “Duh! Plus I feel gross now. I need a shower. “Well you might have time to take one I’m not sure.” She gave me a puzzled look and asked, “Why won’t I have time? You don’t play a show for three more days.” “Because Monie, I’m taking my best friend, brother, and hoe out tonight.” “I really hope I’m the best friend and not the hoe in that equation.” Monica said wide eyed. “Oh, so you wouldn’t mind being my brother?” “Well I knew that part was about Dahvie, I was just hoping that Sally was the hoe.” I laughed and gave her a smile. “Of course Sally is the hoe.” I said loud enough so that she would over hear me. “Excuse me?” Sally said.  “Oh you heard me skank. I was just telling Monica that we are all going out tonight to celebrate.” I winked at her when I said the word skank, but she just laughed at me. “Celebrate what?” Dahvie asked sounding confused. “Sally and Monica reuniting with us.” I said back to him.

We all got up and got our stuff to head off the plane. We all crammed into my car and I drove us to the hotel. “So, Dahvie and me together and then Monica and Sally in rooms?” “Yea sounds good to me, I don’t mind”, said Sally. Once that awkward conversation about rooming issues was over I plugged in my iPod and began to play Chrome by VNV Nation.

We got to the hotel at about three o’clock p.m. We checked in and went to the elevator. It was kind of funny how we were all packed in there like sardines. When the elevator doors opened we all climbed out gasping for fresh air. We found our rooms easy and went to set our stuff down. “Hey guys, just set everything down and then come back out so we can head to the restaurant before it gets too packed.” Sally and Monica seemed to not like this idea very much but agreed. “Where are you taking us Jayy?” Dahvie asked. “It’s this newer place that just opened called Wish Bone.” “So what do they have to eat there, salad and ranch?” Sally asked sounding annoyed for some reason. “No not just that, but they do have a large salad bar and you know I’m a vegetarian. Besides, since I’m paying I should get to choose.”

Everyone went in their rooms to put their stuff down and meet back up in the hotel lobby. I knew Monica and Sally would be freshing up a bit so who knows how long that could take. I went inside the room that I was sharing with Dahvie and began to unpack a little bit before we left. We had to wait on the girls anyway so why not put the time to good use?
