Beating the Odds *Fillie Fic*

After Party

Hey guys welcome to the first official chapter of my book, again It's not going to speed right into Fillie everything but I think that pace will be quick enough for you to enjoy it. 

As you could expect the Golden Globes Red Carpet was filled with drama. Everyone in the party arrived at the Red Carpet and took pictures and interviewed together with the exception of Millie. She arrived promptly 20 minutes before the event was starting and rushed through the Carpet in order to make it inside. She found the table with everyone at it and she was forced to choose to either sit next to Finn (Who was currently dealing with a massive anxiety attack) or sit next to Sadie and Shawn levy. Due to knowing Melanie was around watching her she looked across the table at Finn being checked on by Caleb as he made sure that he was ok she sat down next to Sadie and Shawn as the photographers for the event arrived.

Finn made sure that he got up and went to the restroom while pictures were being taken not wanting anything to associate him with Millie at the moment, which Millie noticed and felt a deep sense of guilt and hurt building up in her seeing how things have gotten so terribly awkward between her and one of her best friends.

She could slowly feel her eyes start to glisten with unshed tears as she thought about everything she has done in the past couple months has affected the way that they act towards each other. He doesn't even want to be in the same room as me she thought continuing to try and hold her emotions at bay while Shawn got up to go great the Duffer brothers Sadie looked over at her in pity knowing how weird and tough this whole situation has to be for them.

"Look you will be able to talk to him and settle everything at the after party, try not to worry too much about everything now" Sadie said breaking Millie out of her thoughts as she looked over at her with watery eyes.

"Its just... we have ne..nev..er been in this situation before, I use..ed to al..ways be ab..le to t..al..lk to him and now its l...ike he doe..s...n't even know that I ex...ist" She managed to choke out in between labored breaths. Her trembling with each uneven breath she would take in.

"I know sweetie but fretting about it now isn't going to help you at all, you will have time to talk later" Sadie replied comforting her friend by rubbing circles on her back making sure not to mess up her custom Calvin Klein dress.

"You're right Sades thank you, maybe I can even introduce him to my plus one at the party" Millie slowly starts to smile thinking about who will be joining her as her plus one for the after party and thinks that everyone will enjoy meeting him.

"Who are you bringing with you"? Sadie asked slightly worried about who the potential mystery man or boy might be.

"You will just have to wait and find out Sades" Millie laughed a small laugh for the first time that day she was somewhat excited about the prospect of something but the dread and fear of talking with Finn was still eating away at her heart.

Golden Globes After Party: 3 hours later

Caleb, Noah, and Gaten were looking around trying to figure out where Finn had gone. The three of them had all arrived at the same time followed by Sadie and Millie. They all saw Finn walk into the door in which he was instantly dragged away to speak to some directors and screenwriters due to the Duffers putting in a good word for him around the directing community about his interest in eventually heading down that path.

Millie stared directly into his eyes for a split second as he got dragged away and couldn't help feeling a massive surge of disappointment as she followed him to where he ended up. She really wanted to talk to him but she knew that she had to allow him the time to be bombarded by all the Hollywood folk that just saw him walk in.
