He cried. A lot.
The worst part was that he had to find it out through the news.
He tried to visit the house, but the cops wouldn't let him.
He couldn't even come close, but close enough to see the blood and body parts which were once his father's sprawled across the house.
He sat at the kitchen table, his head in his hands, Rufus next to him on the floor,
The doorbell rang, He stood up, pushing his thoughts aside.
He opened the door and was greeted with the dark brown eyes of his friend, who had come to visit him.
"Hello Luce. I heard what happened, How you holding up?"
Luce sighed, "I'm okay i guess" he gestures to the living room "why don't you come in?" Luce closed the door after the other man walked in and took his shoes of.
"Do you already know what your heritage is?" The man asked.
"That's so Felix, Always thinking about money" Luce smiled.
Felix walked over to the sink, filling a glass with water.
"are you sure you don't want something stronger?" Luce asked, while pouring himself a glass scotch. "No, I'll be fine, I think you're gonna need it more than I" Felix joked, petting the black dog who rushed towards him. "I actually came to check how you were doing, so how are you?"He asked "I'm-""PLease don't say you're fine" Felix interrupted him. "I would never say that" Luce exclaimed "I was about to say I'm actually kinda scared that whomever killed my dad is out to kill me!" He sat down, and drank his drink.
"I've gotta go now, so. Bye?" Felix questioned "Bye" Luce replied
He was laying in his bed, not able to sleep, scared someone would kill him in his sleep.
He walked down the stairs to get something to drink, almost tripped over Rufus, who was difficult to see in the dark, when his eye fell on something white.
He walked over to the door and picked the thing up.
It was a letter.
