Maybe one day (BXB)

One

  Alex's hand caressed the soft wood of the bookshelf placed in front of him. The atmosphere of bookstores along with the ticking of wall clocks always seemed to calm him. One day the bell that hung on the door rang louder than usual and it caught Alex's attention. He broke his eye contact from his book and looked at the boy who stood on the other side of the room. The boy looked average yet different. Covered in snow, he wore hipster looking clothes with big navy blue rimmed glasses and his jawline fit his face perfectly. It was then Alex realized he had been staring at the boy long enough for him to be staring back. Alex awkwardly smiled and the boy returned the favour. It made Alex's cheeks flush instantly as he whipped his book in front of his face. The other male lightly laughed and went to go browse for books. About twenty minutes later he was right beside Alex. He notice the book Alex was reading and instantly said, "That's my favourite book!" Alex jumped at the sudden noise and looked at the other male. "Sorry! I didn't mean to be so loud..." He stared at Alex. "My name's Aiden." He smiled and offered his hand. Alex lightly blushed again and shook Aiden's hand. "I didn't think someone as new aged as you would be interested in this." The book Alex was reading was named "Cap's Quest", it was about the character "Cap" and his journey of accepting himself as being bisexual. Aiden blushed in embarrassment at the comment. "I'm.. really not new age." "How old are you?" Alex said, confused. "I thought you were 16 at the most." "I'm actually 23." Alex was shocked to hear that Aiden was older than him. 'How about you?" Alex was hesitant to answer. Aiden laughed it off. "You don't have to tell me but you look older so I'll assume you're 25." 'I'm 21.' Alex thought. "Well.. by your book selection, you seem like a good, accepting person. I only came here to kill time but now I must go. I didn't expect to meet you but hey, I'd like to have you as my friend." Aiden then reached into his pocket to grab his phone. "Could I have your phone number?" Alex was taken by surprise and Aiden noticed his reaction. "For you know, keeping in touch." Alex thought about it and soon typed his number into the other male's phone. "Well It was nice meeting you "Alexander LeRoy." Aiden smiled at Alex and waved goodbye to his new found friend. As the door shut behind Aiden, Alex immediately felt his heart begin to race and found himself completely red ear to ear. 'W-why am I feeling this now?' He thought.
