Hidden

Hey guys it's me Silver-chan back with another chapter of Ouroboros! Also I do not own Fairytail or any of it's amazing characters, I also don't own the pictures, I only own my OC's. Also i'm going to warn you now if you add up the total points it probably won't make sense, i'm sticking to the story line. Also I've decided to add fun-facts about the characters at the end of each chapter so look forward to those. That's it let's get going!

Rico's POV

"Our first game is called hidden! please select who will be participating for each team!" The announcer yelled with excitement.

"Rico, you will go" Scarlett said in a monotone voice.

"Don't disappoint me" a voice whispered in my ear. I turned my head to the stands to see master staring down at me, a hard look adorning his stern face.

"I won't" I whispered to myself, turning back around I heard the announcer start talking again.

"The first Challenger has stepped forward, representing Quattro Cerberus It's Yeager! From Mermaid Heel it's Beth!" Some of the audience was cheering while the rest waited in anticipation, waiting to see who would be representing their favorite guilds. I stepped forward "From Ouroboros it's their fourth in command, Rico!" A few wizards turned their heads at the words fourth in command.

"What's this they have a ranking system? that's unusual." said the redhead from Fairytail.

"Putting labels on people like that, their guild must be pretty harsh" a blond girl from Fairytail added.

"Blue Pegasus sends out Eve! Gotta love those lively cheers! Keep your eyes on this one folks! From Sabertooth it's Rufus!" The crowd went nuts, well I guess we all know who the crowd favorite is. But he looks strong, very strong, I can sense magical energy rolling off of him like waves. His footsteps are in perfect harmony with his breathing, beautiful... "From Lamia Scale Lyon! From Fairytail team A, the icy Gray! From Fairytail Team-B Juvia!"

"Good luck out there darling!" Jay said with a smirk, I wanted to smack that smirk off of his face but I don't have time for that.

So instead I just walked away from him and said coolly "I don't need luck". While we were waiting for someone to tell us the rules i noticed some of the contestants talking.

"What are you?" The one I believed was called Gray asked the pumpkin man.

"Wh-who me?" It answered nervously, "My silly boy i'm a pumpkin! as you can plainly see..." It said awkwardly.

"Sorry was i not supposed to ask you that or something?" Gray said.

"Well he certainly looks like a pumpkin to me" answered Juvia.

"Well duh, of coarse he looks like a pumpkin on the outside, but what's inside there?" Gray added suspiciously.

"I've never really thought about it actually?" said a few others i couldn't remember the names of. "Good job sir you've created an excellent character." they both said in sinc, bowing their heads.

"thank you, but i'm only really doing this because it's so funkin!" he said excitedly making many deadpan at the word 'funkin'.

"This bad puns are gonna get old real quick" said Gray.

"Hey it isn't fair that there are two fairies down here in the arena, they have an unfair advantage!" some guy i won't bother to remember the name of said.

"I have no qualms with it." I didn't need to turn around to know who it was. "In fact i remembered something that i once heard. A wise man told me once, two heads aren't necessarily better than one." Rufus spoke calmly. poetry...

" Perhaps Instead of fussing over the subject, you should make better use of your time and actually read the rule-book." I said coldly looking at the protester.

"Are you giving us advice? a couple words of wisdom from the reining champion, and current victor."

"All i'm saying is that having a comrade could prove to be a disadvantage. There are countless ways they could be used against you, if they were to leak information, or be held hostage your hand would be easily forced, you'd be wise to remember that" Rufus lectured. Suddenly an image of Bitsy popped into my mind.

"Ya sure i'll make sure i'll write it down later". Gray aid a thick layer of sarcasm coating his voice. I don't like him.

"Open the field!!!!" The pumpkin man shouted hurting my ears. Blue lights flashed around me as buildings suddenly appeared all around me. I gasped in amazement as i was suddenly in the center of a town lost within rows of houses and stores, buildings of all sorts. There was nobody but me this monster of a city, i had ended up on a bridge, to my left a boutique, on my right a cafe. So this is Hidden... High stakes hide and seek.

"All you in the stands can catch the action in crystal clear lacrima vision!" The announcer said. "Now it's time to hear the rules of the game, the contestants will be hiding and seeking at the same time! The main objective of hidden is to locate the other players, once you've done that, you'll have to land an attack on them, the player that successfully connects their attack whether or not it does any damage will then be awarded 1 point". I was suddenly surrounded by a second blue light rapidly rising getting brighter until fading to reveal hundreds of myself, Gray, Rufus, and the other competitors, each an exact copy of the original. "I know their pretty but those copies aren't just for show folks, attack one of your fake competitors by mistake and it will cost you one point. It's time to disappear like a black cat in a dark alleyway, fade into your surroundings and hide in plain sight". A gong rang, "Lets play Hidden!" I smirked, this'll be fun An exited sadistic glint in my eye. "And because of that bear hug attack Juvia from Fairytail Team B looses one point! she will put into a 10 second timeout and then forced to start again from a new location, the same is true if you are attacked by another player." Idiot... "You are aloud as many restarts as you need but the clock is ticking the game will last for 30 minutes and whoever has the most points by the end takes first place." I sensed one of my crystals nearby it was Grey.

"Why hello there Gray" i said smirking as i walked towards him.

"Nice of you to come to me, how'd you find me?" he asked surprised that i could find him so easily.

"Someone like you couldn't possibly understand my art, but i'll try to help you understand. I marked each one of the contestants with my beautiful art, before this game even begun, you can't hide from me." I smiled sadistically, and he quickly went in for an attack, ice rapidly forming around his hand, his attack smashed into me only to discover he hit my clone. I stepped out from behind him "Not beautiful, your magic is so very ugly." He gasped and disappeared into a blue light being teleported to another part of the arena.

"Go after that Boy show him the power of Ouroboros make him fear you!" I voice hissed in my mind.

"Yes master"I whispered back. I followed the tiniest flow of my own magic until I caught back up to Gray again. "Oh Gray, you make this to easy!" I said my sadistic smile still on my face as i slugged him in the gut. "This game is really fun!" I said sadistically.

#1 When Rico saw Rufus for the first time she was relieved to see another 'normal person' at the tournament.

#2 Rico thinks she should be second in command instead of fourth, and was a little embarrassed when the announcer guy said she was the fourth in command.

#3 Rico is now a little curious to know who the pumpkin man is.

#4 Rico thought of Bitsy after Rufus's speech because she thinks Bitsy is the kind of person who would hold people hostage, and torture them for information.

#4 Rico has never played hide and seek before.
