Off in the distance of Walthamstow's roads, a cab drifts into an alleyway from the insides of a market, spewing clouds of dust onto the passersby. Shoppers and owners scattered from their places to dodge the car, and vice versa. The female driver gunned the gas pedal, bursting out into the streets once again.
A map full of scribbles snapped open and instructions were given to the driver. The car swerved off the road, giving another deafening screech as it nearly collided with another vehicle speeding behind it. It bounced on the rocks along the barren dry ground. Back on the road, several cabs had come to a stop to watch the car jump along into the distance towards a railway.

The eyes of a certain green-eyed boy snapped up. "Sire, Lord! Get down!"
The compartment glass shattered with a bullet's passing. With a strangled cry, the Duke and the Japanese emperor flew off their seats to lie on the floor. Jocelyn pulled out her pistol, loading it ready.
"They're earlier than I expected," said Jocelyn, crouching down next to Lancelot. The latter snapped his head towards her.
"You knew?" Lancelot yelled through another shatter of glass.
"No, I surmised."
With that, the girl shot up, running out of their compartment and towards the Japanese guards'. A man in a uniform seized her and threw her against the guards' compartment door. As soon as she made contact with the metal, the man pulled out a knife. A smirk was last seen by Jocelyn before the man tugged on a string leading to his leg.
The door to the Duke's compartment blew open, slamming down onto the floor. Lancelot swore furiously, running out the blown down door to see the guard's compartment at least a good five meters away from the still driving train. A gruesome splatter of blood and carcass marked the separation of the two cabins. His partner was helplessly pacing on the straggling train cabin, but couldn't've done anything with the cabin distancing itself away from the rest of the train.
A separate train had caught up with the main train during the commotion. Several harpoons struck through the Duke's compartment, connecting the two trains. Lancelot pulled out his pistol and shot the other train's wheels, the bullets' contact making the metal spark. The train toppled towards its right.
"Oh Lord, Jocelyn! Climb on over!"
A muddy car pulled up beside the nearly stopped compartment of the guards, Lancelot's two acquaintances slowing down to allow Jocelyn to launch herself into the cab. Tristan aimed at the strings connected to the harpoons and shot, cleanly cutting through all of them. A round of muskets pierced the air with a uniformed bang.
Lancelot ran back to through the compartment door, reloading his pistol. He crouched down under the shattered windows, peeking over constantly to count the Frenchmen in the open train next to the one he was in.
"Stay down, sire," the boy told the Duke and the Lord. The Japanese looked extremely terrified. The two railways the trains were on were getting dangerously close.
The boy heard Alexa yelling at both Jocelyn and Tristan. Another round of muskets sounded, several of them denting the metal of the compartment. Lancelot popped up for two seconds, pulling the trigger on a Frenchman. A loud exclamation was issued by Tristan, followed by a few desperate cries before death, one coming from the driver's cabin of Lancelot's train.
Lancelot stood up, risking the possibility of getting shot at. He yelled to his acquaintance in the midst of the Frenchmen to stop the trains. Tristan pushed through two more Frenchmen, staining his uniform with the blood of his home country.
Lancelot slammed open the driver's cabin, kicking a lever on the way, detaching the Duke's compartment with the still driving train head. He looked outside; the trains were about to hit each other. A bullet grazed the metal right beside his ear, making him duck back into the driver's cabin. Tristan had reached the French train's cabin as well, cruelly kicking the driver out the door.
The trains slammed into each other, springing apart a little with the counterforce. Lancelot tugged on the compressed air brake, upon seeing Tristan do the same. Both vehicles collided once more, screeching with sparks. The air brake threatened to fly back. Lancelot tugged harder.
Being the lighter train, for there was only a train head, Lancelot's train tipped over. The boy aborted the train head, leaping out right before it derailed and rolled to a stop nearby, blowing to smithereens. He tucked into a roll, pushing himself sideways so he wasn't run over by the other train. The explosion rung in his ears, seemingly detonating twice, thrice, four times. A car screeched to a stop right in front of his feet, accompanied by Alexa's human shriek.
Tristan jumped out the train head after the French train fully stopped, clothes drenched in the blood of the Frenchmen. Jocelyn appeared from the further cabins, throwing a bloody knife aside. The two had completely wiped out the Frenchmen during the frenzy of stopping the trains.
The Duke and the Japanese lord stepped out of their own train compartment and made their way towards the four. The Japanese emperor immediately dropped to his knees and bowed to thank them for saving him.
Alexa and Tristan frowned; Lancelot and Jocelyn laughed at the two.
---
"Everyone, we have two visitors from Edinburgh today. They would be staying with us on request of the Duke, until next year. Why don't you introduce yourselves?"
Lancelot nodded at the instructor while Jocelyn pretended to shy away, hiding behind her hand. The wanton boy grinned impishly, saluting the rest of the class playfully.
Tristan shared a knowing look with Alexa, and the two of them seemed to snicker.
kkk. all the tests are over (i think) and i can rest now (i think).
