ch. 5 | instead of him
-
Jungkook was intensely watching the ticking time that was counting down before his eyes.
Right when the time hit to a remaining of one second left, he stopped it before it could get to zero.
He left it there to cool down and walked to get the two water bottles that were left on the counter.
Placing them in the small fridge to keep them cold, he went back to the burning hot object, opening the door that seals the heat, carefully taking the object out and letting it down on the table.
Jungkook reread the following instructions, obeying the finishing directions, for it to be complete. After, he takes out two white paper plates from the plastic wrap, transferring the contents to the dishware, splitting them up evenly.
Mixing it a few with the two forks for each, he stares at it for a good solid three minutes. He observed the contents of it in every detail, examining if it looks somewhat believable to his goal.
Hearing footsteps outside the room, his eyes widened and picked the two filled plates up and speed-walked to set it down the table.
Jungkook sat on the couch in the most "normal" way, having his phone out to pretend to have a phone call. A drop of sweat run down his face when the sounds of the door opening were heard.

Mia opened the door to the lunch room, creating the creaking sound around the room.
She was welcomed with the smell of deliciously made food and a sound of strangely loud talking.
"Are you serious? Ha, no way," Jungkook talks on the phone.
Jungkook already noticed the woman that was standing at the door. Pretending to not notice her yet, he continues his fake conversation.
"I don't believe you, there's no way Justin Bieber would want to collab with me."
Mia looks at the younger boy in discomfort, not knowing what to do.
She couldn't leave considering she was really hungry and her stomach been growling all day, being filled with embarrassment with her co-workers joking about it.
Yet she couldn't come in the room either, worried that Jungkook would think she was listening to his valuable phone call.
Somehow believing that the phone call was actually real and important about some collab with a famous celebrity, she worries that it might have been a secret that she shouldn't have known yet.
"Uh... Hello?" The oblivious stylist calls out enough for him to hear. Wanting the occupied boy to be aware of her presence in the room.
Jungkook secretly proud that his acting worked, he portrays to finally notice her, giving Mia a side-glance, saying his farewell to the imaginary person.
Indicating that he hung up, he put his phone in his pant pocket and turned to the slightly older woman that was smiling awkwardly.
"Mia, hey, I didn't see you come in the room." The totally professional actor greets.
Playing with her hands she glances at him, awkwardly laughing. "Ahah, yeah. So, to get straight to the point... Was I not supposed to hear that?"
Noticing how it was worded weirdly, she wanted to explain what she meant, however, Jungkook beat her to it.
"O-oh! Don't worry about it, we haven't confirmed on the collab or not, s-so just think as of it some kind of extra information to look out for!" Jungkook stutters, making up the explanation the spot.
