The Alpha [updating]

Introduction

Jung Hoseok POV

"Where's jungkook?" Somi asked, she had the brightest brown eyes I've ever seen. It was like a pool of freshly made honey which was strange because it was so dull when we were little.

"I don't know Somi- Ah, I'll check up on him soon. Eat something before we leave alright? I don't want you eating food from that place."

"of course, you don't have to tell me otherwise,"

I smiled at her, before running up the freshly polished, stairs that led up to the golden door. It was funny how dramatic the Jeon's had to present their son. It was like they wanted the whole world to know that he was better than everyone, stronger, dominant.

I sighed heavily before resting my hand on the knob, but before I could even get the chance to open the door, I heard feint sobs inside.

Worried, I opened the door quickly. My chest was tightening, unable to comprehend the anxiety I was feeling at that moment.

"Jungkook!! Are you okay?"

"Hyung. h-help..." he replied in between his incoherent sobs, heavy pain was evident in his voice.  His legs were covered with fresh wounds that were forming multiple bruises. His face was swelling and bloody from the evident heavy punches he had received. His arms were filled with whipped marks and his shirt was covered with his own blood.

"Hyung... I can't move. it hurts!" He cried, I felt my fist clenching with pure anger.

I'm so sorry Jungkook, you don't deserve this at all.

"WHO THE FUCK DID THIS TO YOU?!?!"

"I-it was father. he was very intoxicated last night and he caught me taking a break from my training,  and he..." He sobbed, unable to finish his sentence.  From his reactions it was bound to be something traumatic. I put an arm around him and engulfed him into a soft embrace.

"hush, hyung is here okay?"

"I couldn't meet his standards hyung. He told me I was a failure, I t-think the hierarchy is getting to him again."

The hierarchy

Under the influence of bees and wolves, humans obtained a hierarchy, it was the only way to differentiate the growing population. Hence, why we were divided by our social status. Alphas, Omegas and Betas. It was decided by a simple DNA test, once a human turns 18 they take the test to determine whether they classified as an Alpha, Omega or Beta. If this human contained a tiny amount of Alpha genes, they were ranked as a Sub Alpha and the same goes for the Omega and Beta genes. For those who do not have a single gene of the classified classes they were called Commoners, which was at least 80% of the world population.

The rest of the 20% were divided into the classes. 85% of the test relied on your genetics from your parents, Many of the 20% were a mix between Omegas and Betas. Both were powerful but they specialised in different fields. Omegas specialised in fertility without them the chances of the social classes surviving would be dim. The Betas however specialised in wisdom, they could immediately sense when trouble is arising and would immediately conspire a plan.

The Alphas though, they were the most powerful of all ranks. Alphas are dominant individuals, they specialised in Combat, making them experts in all fighting fields. Their senses are much greater than the other two classes, however their control over their inner wolf are much weaker. Alphas have very rare genes and have trouble giving them off as most of their offsprings fail to survive.

Most classes have to breed with the members from their own classes as breeding with the other classes could kill them. But there exceptions, if a Beta and Omega bred and produced a healthy offspring. This offspring will become one of the smartest among the population, but they have very short lives. An Alpha and an Omega can never be together, the risk of the baby surviving was less than 5% and it will most likely kill both of the parents. However if the baby did survive it would have the power to rule the world. It's senses would be strengthen, and the inner wolf inside the child would gain certain abilities that no one has ever seen before. That baby would be referred to as the "Golden Child". There was one in the past, however it never truly unlocked its true power so the mystery behind its abilities are still yet to be known.

There is only one in the whole world right now

that 'only one' is no one else but Jeon Jungkook.
