I had to figure out how to get the wifi password without having to talk to Asher. It would be awkward if I talked to him after all that happened. I could probably ask Will... but then again, I had no idea where he stayed.
I decided to go look around to see if I could find anyone who was awake or clues about the wifi password. The event ended in forty-five minutes, which was barely enough time to grind some levels, but I could manage.
Carefully, I slipped out of the bed and slowly opened the door. I looked in the hallway to make sure no one was there and tip-toed near Asher's room. I heard whispers and decided to get closer to see if they were talking about anything internet-related.
"Asher, don't think like that," I heard Will say.
"I've always wanted a mate. One who is strong, challenging, and maybe somewhat defiant. Well, I got the opposite of that," Asher said.
I froze.
"She's just not used to everything. Give her time bro," Will replied angrily.
"I know! She's amazing and awesome and beautiful... but she's just not what I expected of my mate..."
I tried not to make any noise, knowing their wolf ears could pick up almost anything, but it was to no avail.
I tried to restrain my sniffles, but out came a croak.
"Who's there?" Will demanded.
"Oh no..." Asher muttered. "Ella..."
That was when I sprinted down the hallway and stairs, reaching the doors.
"I knew it. I knew it," I muttered. "Of course, I had to be fucking right."
No one wants me.
The doors were locked, but with all my anger and rage, I broke through it with a loud boom. My final obstacle was the tall gates that surrounded the mansion.
"I'm so done with this," I muttered, hopping gracefully over the gate. My anger fueled up enough energy to just get away from Asher as fast as possible and back to my home, the place where everyone accepted me for I was, my pack.

Luckily, my nose was able to guide me to my pack. I was still located in the forest but could see some people standing guard at the gate and around the borders. I took a breath before coming out of the forest. Here goes nothing.
As soon as I stepped out, everyone stared at me, their eyes wide and full of shock. "Ella?"
I hesitantly nodded. "I'm back."
All of a sudden, they rushed towards me filling me with hugs.
"What happened? We heard something happened at the gala," the head guard, Luciel, asked.
"Actually, can you guys take me to Alpha Steven? I need to discuss something with him," I said, trying to avoid the subject.
"Yeah, sure! He's in the garden right now with your mom," Luciel said. "I'll bring you to them."
"Thanks, Luciel," I said. Why would my mom be with Alpha Steven? "So, what have you been up to Luciel?"
We were walking to the garden and catching up at the same time. Luciel was like an older brother to me. I grew up with him and he would always protect me. Although, we never really talked these days since Alpha Steven has been assigning him so much work. He is our pack's beta though, so you would expect him to have a load of work.
"Nothing much. Steven has been keeping me super busy. You know what he made me do yesterday? He made me take care of the nursery since the nurses wanted a break. It was the worst day ever," Luciel babbled.
I snickered. "When was the last time you guys went on a date?"
"Oh man, it's been so long. I think the last one was a couple of months ago. Oh yeah! We went to an amusement park! Fun times," he said longingly.
"My guy... that was last year," I said in disbelief. "Are you kidding me?"
"Are you sure it was last year? I swear, it was a couple of months ago," Luciel said.
"Oh. My. God. How have you guys not been on a date in a year?" I smacked him, disappointed.
"He's been busy you know? We never get around to it. We haven't cuddled in a week," Luciel sighed.
"A week?" I gasped. "You have to stand up for yourself. Tell him what you want. Honestly, c'mon Luciel."
"Hey, we've both been busy. The nursery has been exploding, the library had been a mess since you left, and not to mention, we don't have enough guards at the gate, since a very large quantity were mate-less and now all of a sudden found their mate from the gala," Luciel said. "There are way more problems we have just because we're understaffed. Out of all the years, this year really took a chunk of us."
I pouted, guilty for leaving. "Well, since I'm back, leave this all up to me! To compensate for leaving, hand me a list of all the tasks that haven't been finished and I'll try my best to finish them."
Luciel smiled. "You haven't changed at all. Did you ever find your mate at the gala? Whatever happened at the gala? I heard that it was crashed by a group of rogues. This could cause a huge problem for us since we're one of the closest packs that live near the gala location."
I rubbed my right arm awkwardly. "Yeah, I did... I don't think it's going to work out."
Luciel smacked me back. Hard. "You're just uptight and too cautious. Not everyone is out to get you, Ella. Did you just run away from him?"
I didn't reply.
Luciel sighed, disappointed in me. "Well, if you're going to tell Steven about this, he'll gladly have you stay. Just know, you have to stop running away at some point."
"Hey! You're one to talk! Look at you and Alpha Steven," I said. "Haven't been on a date in over a year because you guys have been 'busy.'"
"We can go on one whenever we want okay? Just watch," Luciel said as we reached our destination.
I saw my beautiful mother with a turned back, facing the tall and buff Alpha Steven. It looked like they were talking about something serious. Why not ruin it?
I jumped a few hedges and Luciel followed suit.
"Mom! Alpha Steven!" I shouted, rushing over to them.
Mom turned around and my eyes widened when I saw her stomach. "Mom, I think you should lay off the sweets..."
