"Babe..."

"Don't 'babe' me," Luciel said, sounding rough. "I'm going to go now. I'll see you, Ella."

I grabbed Luciel's arm. "Stop running. You both are staying here until everything is sorted out. I don't care if I have to sleep on the couch. Be mature adults and convey your feelings properly!"

I was sick and tired of all the drama. The reason for running away and back to my pack was to get away from it.

"Yes, please Luciel, stay. We need to talk," Alpha Steven pleaded.

Luciel had a stern look on his face, contemplating his decision. However, I didn't offer him a choice.

I left the room, not before saying, "Figure it out. Don't you guys dare leave this room unless doing so," and then slammed the door.

A silence followed suit as I mentally scolded myself for being so... commanding. It was a weird, unsettling feeling. I didn't enjoy having control.

Now, it was time for me to confront the person in this pack whom I was trying to avoid, my mother.

I made my way to the garden and with each step I took, the more nervous and reluctant I felt. I didn't know what I was going to say to her nor how I even felt currently. It was just weird.

"You're such a hypocrite Ella... can't even take your own advice," I muttered to myself.

It took about five minutes to reach the garden as it was on the other side of the pack's vast estate. It was absolutely gigantic with greenery everywhere. There were plants of various colors and a white gazebo at the far end of the garden that had people playing around there or relaxing. And indeed, my mother was there with her prominently round belly, smelling the red roses.

I took a big sigh before stepping forward. My mom turned around and a surprised look washed over her face.

"Ella," she said, not knowing what else to say.

"Mother."

"W-What brings you here?" she asked, twiddling with her thumbs.

I looked straight into her guilty eyes and said, "We need to talk about you, Alpha Steven, and the baby."

"U-Uh, sure. Why don't we go inside?" she recommended, directing me inside.

But, I stood my ground. She just wanted to go somewhere private, but this was also a pack matter. "No, we're going to talk right here, right now. No more excuses and no more distractions."

My mom seemed surprised at my sudden confrontation. "O-Okay... what do you want to talk about?"

"Tell me the real reason why you did what you did," I said. "You knew Luciel was Alpha Steven's mate, but you didn't check to see if he would approve of your bizarre request also?"

"I see we're going straight into it," my mom sighed. "You want to know the real reason? It was to fulfill your father's wish."

"Dad had a wish?" I asked.

She responded with a nod. "He wished for two children. One boy and one girl. Now, I know it seems silly, but that wish is what's left of him and it's the only thing that I can cling onto."

I crossed my arms and looked at her with disappointment. "Why didn't you just tell me that?"

"You never take the subject of your father lightly. I didn't want to hurt you further by mentioning him. Honey, I'm so sorry," she apologized. "As for Luciel... I guess I was too scared to ask him, knowing he would probably refuse."

That's usually a sign that indicates it's a bad decision.

I rubbed my temples and responded with the honest truth. "It's definitely weird that you used our alpha's sperm and it'll take a long time, and I mean a long time, for me to get used to this. But, at this point, I don't really think my disapproval is going to help at all. I mean, you're already pregnant."

My mom nodded with understanding. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you Ella."

I forced a small smile. "Let's just try and put this behind us. Don't think you're off the hook. But, I'll be here for my future sibling."

My mom tried to hug me, but I just patted her on the back and drew her arms away.

"I need to check up on Luciel and Alpha Steven. I'll see you."

And with that, I turned away from my mother and left. There was a pang of pain in my heart as I turned away from the only blood family I had. I wasn't sure if this was the right choice, but the whole situation was just too weird for my liking. Perhaps I'll get used to it one day.

Now what was worrying was Luciel and Alpha Steven. Hopefully, things didn't become too violent.

When I reached my room, there was complete silence. There was no shouting, no shattering of vases, nothing.

Raising my eyebrow in suspicion, I opened the door to see something that would scar my eyes forever, something so gross that I would need an entirely new room.

Luciel and Alpha Steven were full-on making out on my bed. The sounds were not at all pleasing, well at least for me they weren't.

"What in the heck are you doing?" I seethed. "Why are you making out on my bed? Get out! Freaking gross!"

It was nice that they made up, but it would be nicer if the "made out" didn't come along with the package.

My face was flaming red from embarrassment and heat radiated off of it, causing my forehead to sweat as the two apologized repeatedly while leaving the room.

I didn't even want to look at my bed let alone touch it. Guess I was going to sleep on the floor now.

I decided to go out and have a stroll. It was 3:17 in the afternoon and I was extremely hungry. There was a little ramen shop near the estate that I could go to. It would be more logical to just go downstairs and to the kitchen, but I didn't really feel like seeing any of the pack members and having to explain why I was back. It was already hard just thinking about it myself.

And so, I set out on a little adventure outside of the pack house and into the world. I couldn't recall the last time I went out on a spur like this. Most days, mom would beg me to go out like this and stop gaming with Ryan, Riley, and Claire. Speaking of, it's been days since I've spoken to them. They didn't know how I was doing or even where I was. They must be worried sick. Well on the contrary, after our fight they probably didn't put in a single thought about me. Besides, I couldn't contact them anyway.

All of my stuff was with Asher. No. I shook my head and tried to clear my thoughts of him. He wasn't going to win.

I grabbed my not-so-secret stash of money from my kitty bank that was basically a black and white cat sitting, but he was licking one of his cute, little paws. I wanted a puppy bank, but the store I was at was anti-dog.
