Fears (10th Doctor)

A/N: So this is a pretty short one I wrote fast but it's cute I guess. Also I'm thinking about making the hiest a separate book but idk. Thoughts????

  "Y/N!" The crazy alien you were traveling with yelled, drawing out your name in a way you loved although you'd never admit you loved when he did that.

  "In here!" You yelled back from the kitchen. You had just woke up and made some coffee.  You were pouring the coffee in you're favorite mug, when you felt his arms wrap around your waist and his lips on your neck. You shivered and melted in his warm embrace. You could forget everything when he held you.

  "I missed you." He said, holding you tighter than ever. Almost like you would fade out of his arms.

  "We saw each other last night Doctor." You laughed unheartedly. You could tell something was wrong. You turned around in his arms to face him. He usually tried to hide his emotions but you see in his eyes a sadness that he couldn't hide. "Hey, what's wrong?" You said softly, bringing your hand to cup his cheek.

  "Nothings wrong Y/N," he broke away from you and put on a fake smile. It was convincing but you knew him better than that. "So where do you wanna go today Y/N? We could go to Amanopia, the natives are Blue Y/N! Oh wait, nevermind I forgot they traded body parts there. Don't wanna lose a limb today! We could go to Delphon, great place really, the natives talk with their eyebrows! Isn't that exciting Y/N? There's also Umbeka, the winters there last year's but summer only lasts a couple weeks. Great for skating or snowball fights, we could go anywhere really, you name it, we'll be there." He smiled bouncing around the room while he rambled about the places he had traveled before. It wasn't his normal happy ramble though. You could tell.

  "Doctor, tell me what's wrong. Please." You pleaded, grabbing his hands.

  "Y/N... I'm scared." He said breaking his happy facade. His eyes fell down to the floor. "I....care about you, but anyone I care about or get close to, gets hurt and I lose them. I just can't lose you Y/N. Not after everyone else." Tears filled his eyes and you pulled him into a hug. This was nothing like the Doctor you knew.
 
"Doctor, I'm scared too." You confessed holding him tight. His arms were wrapped tight around your waist. Like he was saying he had you and was never letting go. You were scared to lose him just like he was scared of losing you but you were going to enjoy every second you had with him, even if it was hugging in the Tardis kitchen. "I love you Doctor." You whispered before you could think about it. He didn't reply and you knew why. Saying it was too much for when he did lose you. So instead he just held you tighter and that's all the reassurance you needed.

  You stayed just like that for what felt like forever, until that forever broke and the adventures began with thoughts of the kitchen incident always on your mind. The fear of this being your last adventure forever in the back to your head until the Doctor held you and kissed away your fears.
