"Alright everyone. Settle down and please take your seats. It is time to start with the event."

Everyone started to sit back to their tables and it soon got quiet.

"Now, most of you know how these things work so, I'll make this very short. I wanted to thank you all for being here on this special day. We hope to accomplish todays goal of reaching at least five-hundred grand, and well everyone, please enjoy todays events."

Everyone claps and as soon as the man gets off the stage, music starts playing.

Yeah I'll enjoy myself alright.

"Another glass of wine?" A waiter asks.

I take four and smirk when he looks at me shocked. I would have gotten two more but I wouldn't like to be unladylike.

"Wow, the night's barely starting." Ethan chuckled as he took a sip of his.

"You know these things aren't really my thing." I smile at him as he nods.

"You should at least enjoy yourself," he shrugs then turns around as a guy talks to him. Nothing new, that's how he'll be all night. But he's right I should at least enjoy myself.

"Lana is that you?" I hear a screech and then a cold hand on my shoulder.

I turn around and find a couple of ladies smiling and waving. The girls from the country club.

Of course

I didn't hate these ladies but they gossiped way more than teenagers would in a month. If someone needed information on someone, you would go to these ladies not exactly an fbi agent.

"Hey Margaret, how are you? And how'd you know it was me, I had a mask on?" I asked very amazed, that they knew me just by looking at my back.

"Oh come on Lana, how can we not recognize you, silly." They giggle. "I mean even if you were wearing a costume, we could still recognize you." They giggle again and wave their hands around. I'm telling you these girls were only acting like dumb blondes, but little did you know that they were more intelligent than some of their husbands.

"Why don't you join us? We saw you lonely here..." she pouts and I smile underneath my mask  and give her a nod. Even though they sometimes were mean crazed-bitches they still were caring deep, deep, deep inside. When we went out I tried controlling them and by that I mean showing them manners. Money had turned them into the typical rich women who only cared for themselves and their credit cards.

They hand me a drink and start their gossiping. I didn't try stopping that because you could always get intel, if I ever needed some.

"Wait Lana, why hadn't we heard from you? My husband told me you went on a trip. But like where? And you didn't tell us." She looked disappointed and so did the rest of the ladies.

I sigh and internally slap my self. "Shit you're right, I swear-- I--... I was only trying to get myself together. So it was intentional that I didn't contact you all nor anyone else. I just wanted to move on with my life."

"Oh my, I didn't know it was that bad. Oh my, Lana, We didn't know. If only we knew Laurena was a two faced skan-"

"No, no its fine." I smile heartily, feeling very pleased with them. "I'm better now, I promise. Honestly they both don't affect me in any way. You can't always dwell on the past, you know. You just have to learn to move on." It was true what I was saying.

This is what needed to happen; I needed to come back to New York and face these nightmares that were always angering me and what I feared everyday. When I saw Giovanni and Laurena, I didn't feel hate, or anger or the need for revenge. It all dissipated when they showed up in front of me, and for once I felt like I was in control of myself.
