I just left my cheating girlfriend of 6 years. I wish she wouldn't have never cheated, I loved her, and I was wanting to spend the rest of my life with her. But, watching my parents grow up, cheating on each other, the love wasn't enough to cover the hate, the betrayal I felt from all of this. Maybe, leaving her was a good thing for me. They do say, once a cheater, always a cheater. But, that makes me wonder. How many times did she cheat? Did she catch something? Did she give it to me?! I had thoughts racing and pounding inside my head. I was going to get myself checked, and that was for sure. But, something popped into my head and made all of the other thoughts, just go away. Where was I going to stay?
I pulled into a gas station and parked the car. I leaned my head on the steering wheel, and cried. Thirty minutes of crying later, my phone was vibrating against my leg. I pulled it out of my pocket and saw it was my mom. Growing up, she wasn't always there for me. Usually she was sneaking guys into the house while Dad was at work, or drunk as hell. But, when I turned 18, and spoke my mind and told her that I have been dating Gracie for four years, it seemed that it was a burst of reality in her face. My mom seemed to sober up, and stopped cheating on my dad. She got a job as a personal gardener, and stopped drinking. She called me almost every day of the week. I answered the phone, still crying, but trying my best to honestly stop.
"Hello?" I asked as I pressed accept.
"Melissa? Are you crying? What happened?! Do I have to kick someone's ass?!" My mom screamed on the other line. I loved my mom, she was crazy and wild. She would tell you how it was, and wouldn't fret about it. I decided to just go over there.
"Mom, I'm fine. But, I'll be over there in 30 minutes. I love you, bye mom," I said as I was hanging up.

I got out of my jeep, walking into the store. I picked up 6 bags of powdered donuts and 4 boxes of tissues. I grabbed me a Dr.Pepper and headed to the register. As the cashier was checking my items out, I was checking her out. She had a nice tan, with blonde hair and blue streaks. Her nose ring sparkled, and oh, her lips were full and shiny pink. I gave her the money and walked out to the jeep. I put everything in the passengeres side, and got in the drivers side. I took a sip out of my drink, before opening a pack of powdered donuts. As I backed out of the parking lot, I turned around to look at the cashier through the window. She was watching me, smiling.
