chapter 6

tris's pov:

I saw the whole thing, but I know the dumb girl turned her head. It's just weird to see someone kiss the person you like you know?

when we were done taking pictures and magcon ended, aaron came up to me.

"listen, tris.." he began.

"i know aaron, she turned her head. it's okay." I said as he widened his eyes.

"thank god," he gasped wrapping his arms around me. "we still on to hang out?"

I nodded.

"are you okay tris?" he said, looking into my eyes. I hate when he does that. I can't think straight.

"yeah.. im fine. it's just weird seeing that. but I'm fine."

"it didn't mean anything tris, I promise."

I nodded because I didn't know what to say. for some reason I felt a tear in my eye start to form. I quickly looked away so aaron wouldn't see.

"hey, hey. are you crying? no stop.. I'm sorry tris. I'm sorry please stop.."

shit. he saw.

"no no, I don't know why I'm crying.. it's not a big deal I'm fine." I managed to choke out.

"I-I- don't know what to say, I'm sorry tris I really am."

"no aaron I know I usually never cry. it's okay!"I assured him, opening my arms for a hug.

"I hate to see you like this.." he began, wrapping his arms around me once again. he tightly squeezed me, picking me up off the ground.

"ouch." I whispered, and he laughed and apologized.

"where do you want to go, to hang out?" he asked me, his big brown eyes staring into mine.

"we can take a walk along the beach maybe?" I suggested.

"that sounds perfect, then we'll go get some ice cream or something, okay?" he said, walking me outside.

we got to the beach and we were just making small talk. and it got really cold so I folded my arms.

"are you cold?" he asked me.

"yeah." I replied.

he then took off his sweat shirt and handed it to me. I smiled and put it on.

"still cold?" he said smirking. I was still cold but not really.

"a little, but this helps a lot. thank you." I said, as aaron reached out for my hand. I blushed and we intertwined our fingers. I smiled and so did he. this was perfect. amazing.

"so.. I really like you tris.. I really do." he said and blushed.

"I like you too." I said as he stopped both of us.

"the sunset is beautiful." he said, gazing into the ocean.

"it really is." I agreed.

"so are you." he said quietly, as he put his arms at my waist, and looked into my eyes.

"thank you.." I said, I could feel the red burning into my face.

"why are you thanking me? it's true.. has no one called you that before?" he said, inching closer and closer to me.

"well no, actually. not until now."

"what? you're kidding.. you are by far the most beautiful girl I've ever seen."

"thank y-"

he cut me off by crashing his lips into mine. our lips moved perfectly in sync.. and sparks flew in my stomach.

after the long kiss, he pecked my lips.

"wow" is all I could manage to say.

"yeah.. wow." he said smiling.

after that we walked to a cotton candy stand and got cotton candy and shared it.

"so, are you gonna keep on doing magcon?" he said, his arm around my waist.

"yeah, by the way, you live in Louisiana, right?" I asked him.

"yeah. why?"

"have you ever thought of moving?"

"yeah, actually I was gonna move to California."

"really? when?" I said a little to excited.

"soon.. but I'm just getting a small apartment by myself."

"that's what I was gonna do." I replied.

"maybe we could be room mates?" he said and laughed.

"yeah, totally" I laughed along.

"I can't believe we just met.. I feel like I've known you for years." he said sitting us down on a beach bench.

"I know, it's crazy." I replied.

"tris.. I think I'm falling for you. no... I'm sure I'm falling for you."

I just smiled.. I didn't know what to say.

"I think I'm falling for you too aaron." I said, smiling a he inched towards my face.

"tris.. will you... be.. my uh. girlfriend?" he said. "I know it's sudden and all, I just think we're right for each other."

"aaron.. of course I will." I said and wrapped my arms around his neck.

he then picked me up and kissed me, and sparks flew everywhere.

"you're amazing tris." aaron spoke, and walked me back to the hotel.
